What a brilliant day of festive fun at Building Blocks Nursery Handsworth Wood! 🎄

A huge thank you to all our children and staff who wore their most colourful, sparkly, and festive Christmas jumpers today. The nurseries were positively glowing with holiday cheer!

The children also enjoyed a yummy Christmas dinner, which ended in a lot of empty plates 🦃

It was wonderful to see everyone sharing smiles and celebrating the spirit of the season together. Happy Christmas Jumper Day!

Handsworth Wood Raises £170 for Children in Need! 💛

What an incredible day we had celebrating Children in Need last Friday at Building Blocks Nursery in Handsworth Wood!

The nursery was filled with fun and excitement, thanks to the fantastic Children in Need decorations and brilliant activities! Our little ones especially loved getting their faces painted with fun designs to mark the day.

We are absolutely thrilled and proud to announce that, thanks to the generosity of our families and staff, we successfully raised an amazing £170 for Children in Need!

Thank you so much for helping us support such a vital cause.

Observing Remembrance Day ❤️
Today, November 11th, we observe Remembrance Day (also known as Poppy Day).

We take this day to pause, reflect, and honour the armed forces members (from Commonwealth member states) who have tragically died in the line of duty since the end of the First World War.

At Building Blocks Nursery, we teach our children about the Remembrance Poppy, a symbol of remembrance and hope. We remember the sacrifices made so that we may live in peace.

We will remember them.

"Remember, remember the fifth of November, / Gunpowder, treason and plot."

Happy Bonfire Night from Building Blocks Nursery! 🎆

As the skies light up this 5th of November, we want to wish all our families a wonderful and safe Bonfire Night!

While the fireworks are beautiful, please keep these important safety tips in mind:

Firework Safety:
- Always supervise children closely.
- Keep pets indoors and comfortable.
- Never return to a lit firework.

It's spooky season at Building Blocks Nursery - Handsworth Wood! 🎃👻

The children have had a spooktacular time today! They've been busy engaging in lots of fun (and not-so-scary) activities, including brewing magical potions, dressing up, and creating friendly spiders! It's been wonderful to see their imaginations at work.

For those heading out for trick-or-treating this evening, remember these simple tips to ensure everyone stays safe and happy:

🎃 Children should be accompanied by an adult.
🎃 Always check the treats given before anyone tucks in.
🎃 Most importantly: have lots of fun!

Embracing Autumn at Handsworth Wood Stay and Play! 🍂

We've been loving the colours and textures of the new season at our Handsworth Wood Nursery, and it was wonderful to share the magic with our families during our Autumnal Stay and Play Sessions!

Parents were invited into the nursery to join our staff and children for some cozy, Autumn-themed activities. It was a beautiful opportunity to share in the children’s learning, make memories together, and explore sensory play with leaves, pumpkins, and natural materials.

Thank you to all the parents who came to "Stay and Play" the Autumn fun with us! Your involvement is so valuable to your child’s nursery experience.
