Back at it doing what we do best ๐Ÿ’ฅ

We had the pleasure of delivering our ROCKC Story Time performance at Birmingham City University for Lecturer Leon Skerrittโ€™s students studying criminology, policing and social work.

These students arenโ€™t just learning theoryโ€ฆ theyโ€™re actively exploring how real, lived experiences and creative interventions like ours can make a genuine impact in the lives of young people today. From schools to colleges, universities to youth organisations - this is the work that bridges the gap between policy and people.

Powerful conversations, honest reflections and a room full of future change-makers. Exactly where weโ€™re meant to be.

We were also joined by the press office from the Violence Reduction Partnership, with post-show interviews led by ROCKC Head of Production Marc Senior ๐ŸŽค

๐Ÿง  ROCKC DICTIONARY ๐Ÿง
These emojis โ€” ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’Š๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿซ˜๐Ÿ’œโ€” might look harmless...
But in certain online spaces, theyโ€™re being used to spread toxic ideas under the radar.

Theyโ€™re part of a coded language in the โ€˜Manosphereโ€™ โ€” often linked to misogyny, incel culture, and red pill ideology.
What seems like โ€œjust emojisโ€ can carry dangerous messages.

Itโ€™s time we decode the culture.
๐Ÿงฉ Know the signs. Protect the minds.

๐Ÿ“ข Drop your thoughts in the comments โ€” had you seen these used this way before?

We had the absolute pleasure of delivering our ROCKC Story Time poetry performance to the Year 8 pupils at Dame Elizabeth Cadbury School in Bournville.

It was a truly wholesome experience - and the feedback from the students speaks for itself.

A huge thank you to Mrs. K Shamiri and the faculty for welcoming us.

We're excited to return and bring more performances to the rest of your year groups soon!
