Absolutely wonderful new on the King's Birthday today! The Conies Charity has been awarded the King's Award for Voluntary Service - The MBE for volunteer groups. We are speechless and so grateful for the recognition after 12 years of promoting children's and young people's safety in all areas of their lives. We can now do so much more to help and support families both nationally and internationally. Look out! The Conies have arrived!! ; ; Award; Safety; Service; volunteering. news

A little sad this week. It marks the anniversary of losing my grandson, Jayden, four years ago to a rare vascular condition. He was just seven years old. A beautiful happy funny little boy whom I miss very much. He loved The Conies as was such a wonderful child Ambassador to help protect other children as the picture with the then Lord Mayor of Birmingham shows. This reminds me to value life and what is truly important to us all. To love and be loved. To be compassion, kind and considerate of others. Life is too short and wars are too cruel. It is so important we protect all those we can on our short path of life.

Just thinking about my lovely grandson Jayden who sadly passed away around 3 years ago just 7 years old. He is my inspiration for my Conies - heroes of children's safety charity. Such a beautiful little boy with a wonderful spirit who lives on in our hearts to help keep other children safe and happy. The painting is by a wonderful healing artist Jennifer - an incredible lady with amazing talent.

Beautiful hand drawn picture of Jayden and the Elephant by Jennifer. Jayden is my inspiration for the Conies - Golden Child Award.

Remembering Jayden my 7 year old grandson. A beautiful spirit no longer with us. As a great supporter of my Conies - Safety Heroes for Children he came with me whenever he could. In his memory we are launching The Golden Child Award 2024. Details soon to be posted on theconies.org website. I am so grateful to a wonderful, incredibly talented friend Jennifer who painted Jayden with his favourite animal an elephant. This painting will inspire the Award plus my thanks to Yvonne Mosquito when she was Lord Mayor Birmingham along with Howard Rose a true Ambassador representing Damson Wood School confirmed support to champion our Conies. If you can support us please do in any way you can. Resources for children and families all FREE on The Conies website platform. More details to follow!
