🌱🌤️ As the days slowly start to get lighter, February is a good moment to reflect on growth. In education, progress is rarely instant, but it is always meaningful. Across Excelsior schools, pupils are encouraged to take small steps, develop resilience and celebrate achievements, knowing that every milestone matters.

From creative subjects to core learning, pupils are supported to explore, question and develop confidence in their abilities. This focus on aspiration and innovation helps pupils see what they are capable of, both now and in the future.

🌟🏫 We are incredibly proud to share that two Excelsior primary schools, Colmers Farm Primary School and Parkfield Community School, have been recognised nationally for their exceptional outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.

Both schools have received personal letters of congratulations from the Secretary of State for Education, recognising that their outcomes for pupils facing additional barriers to learning are among the strongest in the country. This recognition follows a significant milestone for Excelsior, with disadvantaged pupils across the trust’s primary schools achieving in line with national all-pupil averages for the first time.

As a result of this success, Colmers Farm and Parkfield will now become hubs of effective practice through the Department for Education’s RISE programme. This will see both schools supporting others across England on their improvement journeys and sharing expertise more widely across the education system.

This achievement reflects sustained effort over time, strong leadership, high-quality teaching and a shared commitment across school communities to ensuring every pupil is supported to achieve well and thrive, whatever their starting point. We are hugely proud of the pupils, staff and families whose collective work has made this possible.
