🎥 What could your child's future career look like?

Our students got a hands-on insight into the world of engineering and manufacturing during a visit to Make UK in Aston as part of an ambitious Enrichment Day.

At the state-of-the-art apprenticeship and training hub, students explored cutting-edge technology and discovered the skills employers are looking for.

Across the day, Year 9 students also visited a range of colleges, universities and employers, including The Belfry Hotel & Resort, The Grand Hotel, University College Birmingham, Walsall College, BMet, Holiday Inn, South & City College Birmingham and Solihull College.

A huge thank you to all the organisations that welcomed and inspired our students.

📚✨ A funding boost is set to bring even more books to Erdington Acdemy

Each of the four academies in our Trust has received more than £1,000 to invest in new books and reading materials - from the Department for Education, during National Year of Reading 2026.

At a time when, sadly, fewer young people are reading for pleasure, this investment will help our schools expand and refresh their library collections, giving students more opportunities to discover books that inspire, challenge and excite them.

Michelle Rabicano, our English and Literacy Lead, said: "Reading for pleasure is one of the strongest indicators of future academic success, but it also helps students develop confidence, curiosity and a greater understanding of the world around them."
