This week , Year 6 pupils brought their learning to life by creating their very own model of blood! 🧪

Cheerios represented red blood cells, while marshmallows and pom poms became white blood cells and platelets. Water with a sprinkle of yellow food colouring represented plasma, before a little red food colouring brought the whole experiment together!

A fun and hands-on way to explore the different components of blood. ❤️

📚✨ A wonderful Literacy Workshop with our parents this morning!

Our children loved sharing their Phonics learning and confidently demonstrating the vocabulary and strategies they use in their lessons.

It was a lovely opportunity for parents to gain an insight into our approach to reading and writing, and how they can support their children at home. 💙

It was a wonderful opportunity to gain an insight into life at Blue Coat. Thank you to all our parents for joining us and for your continued support. 💙📖
