Beauty and the Beast
12th & 13th December 2023!

Can you help? Work experience forms a valuable part of our career’s education, it gives pupils a realistic view of the world of work and helps them to form their future career plans. We have some pupils who have really tried but have yet to secure a placement. Our Year 10 work experience week is Monday 17th – Friday 21st July. If you are able to offer a placement, inspiring the next generation please could you email [email protected]

Exciting news! On Friday 16th June, we are thrilled to have author Tom Palmer visiting Park Hall, who will be doing a motivational reading workshop with Year 7 and a reward workshop session for our most enthusiastic and dedicated readers.

Tom Palmer is the author of fifty seven children’s books: 16 books for Barrington Stoke including 6 award-winning historical fiction titles and three Puffin football series.

Students have been reading Tom's latest novel, 'Resist' in class which shines a light on the incredible work of the WWll Dutch resistance, in a story inspired by the childhood of Hollywood legend Audrey Hepburn.

We hope that students will enjoy being able to hear personally from a writer about what it involves to create and publish a story - they will also have the opportunity to have a copy of Tom's books signed, should they wish.

'Resist' and the other books in his historical fiction series, are now available to purchase on ParentPay for £6 (RRP £6.99) students who already have copies of any of Tom's work can obviously bring them in!

“Tom Palmer is a true reading hero and has been responsible for motivating many thousands of young people to get into books” Booktrust
