Wonderful prize-winners concert at Wigmore Hall today from Duo Domo (featuring ex RBC student Domonkos Csabay) and Astatine Trio.
The two ensembles shared first prize at our Birmingham International Piano Chamber Music Competition in 2022.

Come to London's Wigmore Hall at lunchtime on Friday 3rd May, to hear the two superb winning ensembles from the last Birmingham International Piano Chamber Music Competition, Duo Domo and Astatine Trio.

This week has been an incredible and thought-provoking exploration of piano-playing styles of the nineteenth century and beyond. The festival finished last night with Book II of JS Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, our students having already played Book I earlier in the week. Here are both books assembled amongst the fine examples of instruments ranging from 1775 to 1880 that were played.

Come and finish the year with some chamber music at our mini-fest on 9th June!

Gemma, Bianca, Maria, Zoe, Camila and Joachim will be playing the piano parts, along with friends from the string department.

And then two evening concerts of Brahms chamber music in the Recital Hall. String quintets and sextets, as well as a performance of Leo Kirchner's arrangement of the B flat sextet for piano trio, featuring our very own Catherine Duncan!
