Colour Mixing Activity 🎨🦶
Today we have been colour mixing! Using flashcards to identify each colour and what they make! The children used pipettes and coloured water to investigate how adding different amounts of colour changed the shade. For example, noticing that more yellow added to blue created a brighter green. This activity encouraged curiosity, prediction skills and fine motor development. 💛💙💚

The children have been busy planting, shopping, serving customers and exploring all things garden themed through imaginative play 🌼🪴

From taking orders in the café to selling flowers and seed packets in the garden shop, this setup encourages creativity, communication, turn taking and early maths skills in a fun hands on way.💛

This week we are moving on from farm animals to jungle animals! 🐯🐘🦍💚

The children have been exploring the jungle setup with the animal figures, leaves and animal sound book.

We will be learning about different jungle animals, the sounds they make, and where they live.

Encouraging imaginative play and lots of discussion. 💚

Our activities for May!
We have kept farm animals + birds as the children have really enjoyed learning about them! We have added learning activities for dinosaurs which include dino egg hunting! This helps with fine motor skills and hand/ eye coordination!

Happy Monday everyone! Did everyone have a fantastic weekend? The sun has arrived and we have spent a fantastic morning in the park! We spotted more ladybirds and have been teaching the children to keep a look out for butterflies and bees ! At Happy Feet we go out everyday , the children experience a sense of their community and of course all things nature 🧡 Have a wonderful week ! Emma and Olivia 💛
