Su***de Prevention Awareness Day: Knowing the signs that a young person may be struggling could help save a life.

Talking openly, listening without judgement and seeking support early can make a vital difference to a young person experiencing emotional distress or thoughts of su***de.

Although cannot clinically diagnose, at SCCB, specialist-trained safeguarding staff and mental health mentors support students, alongside trusted partners including Birmingham Healthy Minds, Forward Thinking Birmingham and PAPYRUS.

Through these partnerships, free mental health support for young people in the UK, su***de prevention guidance and urgent support are available.
