Another incredible BOA Group alumni success! 🌟🍫

Huge congratulations to two of our talented former students, Maisie Britton and Leah Swain-Heath, who have both been cast in the upcoming historical drama series, The Cadburys.

Set in 1860s Birmingham, the six-part series follows brothers Richard and George Cadbury as they build the world-famous chocolate empire. Inspired by Deborah Cadbury's book Chocolate Wars, the series is set to premiere in 2027 on U and U&Drama.

They'll be joining a star-studded cast featuring Harry Gilby, Jessica Barden, Ben Hardy, Joanna Scanlan and more.

We're incredibly proud to see alumni from two of our specialist academies appearing in the same major television production. Maisie attended BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy from 2022 – 2024, studying on the Writing, Directing and Screen Craft pathway, while Leah attended BOA Creative, Digital & Performing Arts Academy from 2020 – 2022, studying on the Acting pathway 🎬🎭

Moments like this highlight the strength of the BOA Group, with talented graduates from across our academies going on to achieve success in the creative industries.

Congratulations, Maisie and Leah! We can't wait to watch you both on screen and see where your careers take you next 👏

Fifteen years of creativity, innovation and opportunity — and we are only just getting started.

Since BOA first opened its doors in 2011, one bold idea has grown into a family of three specialist academies supporting more than 2,000 learners across creative, digital, performing arts, production and technology pathways 🎭💻🎬

Our story has always been about people: the learners who discover their voice, the colleagues who nurture their potential, and the partners who help turn ambition into opportunity.

As we celebrate everything achieved during BOA’s first 15 years, we are also looking firmly to the future 🚀

Last week, we launched a new strategy for the next five years: Imagine Everything 2026–2031 sets out an ambitious next chapter, built around Educational Excellence, Skills and Employability, and Inclusion and Opportunity.

We will strengthen what makes BOA special, open more doors and create even more opportunities for young people to imagine — and build — extraordinary futures 🎓

Today, we celebrated 15 years of BOA Group—and officially launched the next chapter of our story ✨

Since Birmingham Ormiston Academy opened in 2011, BOA Group has grown into a specialist multi-academy trust built on creativity, digital innovation, technical excellence and opportunity.

What began as one bold academy has evolved into a family of specialist academies, supporting more than 2,000 learners across creative, digital, performing arts, stage, screen, production and technology pathways.

Today's celebration brought that journey to life through inspiring performances, gallery exhibitions, student showcases and the extraordinary talent of our learners and staff. Every performance, presentation and conversation reflected the passion, creativity and ambition that define BOA Group.

But this was more than a celebration of our past.

It was a statement of our future.

With the launch of Imagine Everything 2026–2031, we've set out an ambitious vision to become the UK's leading catalyst for creative, digital and technical talent—creating even greater opportunities for young people and strengthening the connections between education and industry.

Thank you to every learner, colleague, parent, partner, governor, trustee, alumnus and supporter who has played a part in BOA Group's first 15 years. Your belief, dedication and collaboration have made this journey possible.

Now, we begin the next chapter.
