A few months away from performing reminded me just how important consistency really is. Even after a break from rehearsals and live shows, all those hours of practice with the band were still there. That’s the power of muscle memory. It might take a moment to find your rhythm again, but every rehearsal leaves its mark.

I found myself again.

There’s something about performing your own music with a band that reminds you why you started in the first place.

This is exactly why I encourage people to create, rehearse and perform. Confidence isn’t something you wait for; it’s something you build by showing up, even when things aren’t perfect.

Every rehearsal.
Every song.
Every performance.

They all become part of your creative journey.

Celebrating 9 years of teaching music 🎵

Since 2017, I’ve worked with children, teenagers, and adults across piano, music theory, and creative mentoring.

What started with piano lessons has grown into a broader approach, helping learners build strong foundations while enjoying the process of making music.

Over the years, I’ve seen how much the right structure and support can change someone’s confidence and progress.

I’m currently based in Birmingham, offering piano and music mentoring both in-person and online.

Ever started writing a song and suddenly got stuck halfway through?

You might have a melody, a few chords, maybe even the beginning of a verse. But the next part just doesn’t appear the way you imagined.

Creative blocks happen to almost every songwriter.

Sometimes the best solution is simply stepping away for a while go for a walk do something completely different and returning to the idea later with fresh ears.

Very often the missing piece appears when you’re not forcing it.

Music ideas need a space to grow.

It’s never too late to start music.Many adults think they’ve missed their chance.However, learning music as an adult can actually be more focused and meaningful.

You already know what you enjoy. You already understand your goals. Whether it’s piano, singing, rhythm guitar, songwriting, or building confidence to perform, it’s about starting when you’re ready; which is leaning and practising.
