Year 6 are over half way through their residential and what an adventure they are having. We've done zip wire, a blind trail, rifle shooting, axe throwing, fencing and grass sledging already!! There have been lots of smiles and memories made so far.

What a fun-filled World Book Day we had last week. Here's a selection of snaps from an action packed day including: the older children interviewing the younger children on their favourite books, our very own 'Starbooks' cafe complete with hot chocolate and creating our own wooden spoon book characters. Not to mention an abundance of amazing costumes!! 📚📖

Our wonderful Year 6 children are all trained as Active Play Heroes now and have been doing a superb job organising different games for our younger children at lunchtime. We are very proud of the leadership skills they are demonstrating.

What an amazing morning we had with Steel (Zack George) from BBC's Gladiators!

We had a whole school assembly where Steel spoke to all the children about fitness, healthy eating, hydration, confidence and having a positive mindset. Then he visited each classroom to answer questions and take pictures. What an unforgettable experience! Thank you to our wonderful PA for organising this for us.

💛This is Children's Mental Health Week 2026 💛
We have taken part in lots of different activities in school this week exploring the importance of emotional wellbeing, connection, and self‑care. Mental Health Week has given us all a chance to pause, reflect, and support one another. We are incredibly proud of the children for embracing these activities with such thoughtfulness and enthusiasm.

Let’s keep the conversation going so everyone feels seen, heard, and supported 💛

Nine of our fabulous Year Six children applied to take part in the training to become Peer Listeners. Their role will be to support other children at break and lunchtimes by providing a listening ear and helping to create a happy environment. Today they completed their training! They will deliver an assembly in the first week after half term to tell the rest of the school about their new roles.
