“Know, dear brother, one of the shortest paths to Allah’s Presence is the path of sending prayers upon the noble Prophet ‎ﷺ‎‬ , so whoever has not served the Prophet ‎ﷺ‎‬ exclusively and yet seeks to enter Allah’s Presence, he has sought the impossible, for on account of his ignorance of the correct manners (Adab) required before Allah Most High, he will not be granted leave to enter.

Such a person may be likened to a farmer who seeks an audience with the sultan directly and without an intermediary. Understand this.”

"The similitude of a slave with Allah is like that of an employee whom the king brings to his villa and orders him to do a task for him. Now the king is not one to bring in an employee, employ him in his house and leave him without feeding him, as he is more generous than that. Likewise is the case of the slave with Allah: this world is Allah's villa, the employee is you, the task is obedience and the wage is Paradise; and Allah is not one to command you to do a job without giving you that which will assist you therein."
