Our Story

Woodlands Park Pre-School Nursery gives your children an excellent morning/afternoon of “learning through play”. We undertake to provide a safe and caring environment to help your child take the first very important steps to independence in preparation for school. Our graduate, PPA and NVQ 3 trained staff take great care with each individual to help them enjoy playing and interacting with others in a variety of activities.
We usually maintain a higher staff ratio that the guidelines which are 1:8.
We are non profit making group and our primary concern is for the welfare of the children.
We are a very friendly approachable Nursery, we actively encourage feedback/comments from Parents and continually strive to enhance and develop the Nursery and its facilities.
Children can attend Nursery from 2 years 6 months.
FREE PLACES - Pre-School children are entitled to a maximum of 15 hrs FREE funded places. (information correct at 22/06/2020) Three year olds are entitled to a maximum of 15 hrs FREE in the next full school term after their 3rd birthday(not half term) dependent on availability. Two year olds may be entitled to FREE places dependent on circumstances.
Fees are currently £5.50 per hour (information correct at 22/06/2020)

SESSION TIMES (term time only)
Nursery 9.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday

The session times are:
Morning - 9.00 am to 12.00 pm
Lunch Club - 12.00 pm to 1.00 pm
Afternoon - 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm (grant children afternoon hours vary slightly)
Working parents can receive childcare vouchers tax free from their employer. We are currently registered to receive vouchers from: Busy Bee’s, Edenred, Sodexo, Care4, Co-op and are happy to run other voucher schemes as necessary.
