As you will be aware we are forecast some very high temperatures this week, and with that brings some risks.

We have taken some steps at nursery to try to ensure children remain comfortable during their nursery day, but we need your help also.

Can all parent/carers please ensure,

☀️ All children bring their own labelled sun cream into nursery so we can regularly apply this throughout the day

☀️ All children have their own sun hat

☀️ All children are wearing appropriate clothing for the temperature, cool and light T-shirts and shorts

☀️All children bring spare clothes in their bag

We will be having lots of water play activities this week to help keep children cool.

Staff will be monitoring the temperature and UV rating regularly and if needed will remain inside if we cannot fully protect the children outside.
We are lucky to have shaded areas in all 3 of our Sammy Snail outdoor areas so we will be promoting lots of play in the shade and lots of drinks to ensure children remain hydrated.

Thank you for your help and co-operation

We are celebrating world book day today 📕 📚
We are wearing our pjs and going to read some wonderful favourite stories 📚
We have some dressing up clothes in nursery that the children can dress up in as we feel that it can become quite a task and a big expense for parents to worry about, so we like to ease any pressure 📚
Our main objective is that the children learn to love and cherish books, which is a massive gateway to their learning and education throughout their lives 📚
Happy world book day everyone 🥰

Jumping on the Chat GPT trend as I’ve just been reminded today marks my 19th year at Sammy Snail Day Care!

What a 19 years it has been! So so so many memories that I always cherish, I have had the pleasure of working with some fantastic people over the years and continue to do so, but most importantly the children and their families who make every day special and memorable. It really is such a challenging job at times but most definately the most rewarding and there is no where else I would rather be ❤️

Sending love to all my Sammy Snail Family, past and present ❤️ here’s to the big 20 years!!!
