A huge congratulations to Mrs Yousaf, our well-deserved Colleague of the Week! 👏

Mrs Yousaf has been recognised for her outstanding support to the team throughout the SCEP process. During what has, at times, been a challenging transfer period, she has been a calm, reassuring and dependable presence, helping colleagues navigate the process with confidence.

Her professionalism, patience and steady approach have been greatly appreciated by everyone she has worked with, and she has made a real difference during a demanding time.

Year 8 Explores the Deep Ocean with VR! 🐙🌊

Today, our Year 8 students took part in an exciting Ocean VR Workshop, diving beneath the waves through immersive virtual reality experiences.

The workshop linked perfectly with their science studies on curiosity and the mysteries of the deep ocean, bringing learning to life in a fun and engaging way.

We were incredibly proud of our students, who were enthusiastic, engaged, and exceptionally well-behaved throughout the day—a real credit to themselves and our school community.

Today, students across all year groups took part in assemblies.

The assemblies explored important topics including Violence Against Women and Girls , harassment, and misogyny, helping students to better understand the impact these behaviours can have on individuals, communities, and society.

Students also discussed the different forms of harassment, how to recognise unacceptable behaviour, and the importance of speaking out. They were provided with information about the support available to them and how to report concerns anonymously, ensuring that everyone knows how to seek help safely and confidently.

These sessions encouraged thoughtful discussion around respect, equality, and personal responsibility, empowering students to challenge harmful behaviours and contribute to a culture where everyone feels safe and valued.

African and Caribbean Society Conference 🎤

We were proud to take a group of our EDI Committee students to the ACS Conference for a day of learning, networking, and inspiration. A real highlight was hearing from the guest panel, whose honest and powerful stories resonated with everyone in the room. Their insights greatly inspired our students, encouraging them to embrace new perspectives, challenge barriers, and become advocates for equality, diversity, and inclusion in their own communities.
