Preschool have practiced counting by matching up broken hearts with numbers and dots, they were encouraged to count the dots and identify the corresponding number. The children enjoyed using their fine motor skills to place the correct amount of cotton balls into the egg cartoons to practice recognising numbers. Another activity preschool enjoyed was bingo, the children were encouraged to identify random numbers and place a cotton ball into the shell. The children used their Sammy skills and were able to stick down the life cycle into the correct order which is encouraging the children to learn about patterns and sequence. We are hoping to see all our caterpillars grow into beautiful butterflies, and be able to free them into the wild.

We have also been talking about how different emotions make you feel a certain way. On Thursday we let the children have their own little spa where they were able to relax to calming music, and have a little glass of juice and soak up their feet. The children loved this and the staff joined in too. The children also used different hand creams on their friends to show you can be kind and caring to each other. We had a lovely time.
