GBNFC at Chinnbrook

What a fun December we have had! 🤶🎄

We have had so many amazing, activities for the children to be able to explore and learn from. We have made our own reindeer soup in our water tray, all the adults had lots of hot chocolates from our textured kitchen, and we made lots of amazing crafts for our families for Christmas.🧑‍🍳👩‍🎨

We even got two special visitors this year, we had a cheeky elf called Buddy who kept playing tricks on our preschoolers and then Santa himself came from breakfast with the children and our families. 🎅❤️

We really have enjoyed this amazing time ! It has been a pleasure to watch the children have so much fun and enjoy the Christmas season. We hope all our families and friends have a wonderful Christmas and lovely break spending quality time with your loved ones and we will see everyone in the new year for lots more fun and learning 😊🎉

Chinnbrook 💜

This week at Chinnbrook we have been celebrating road safety week. We have done lots of learning around road safety and we even had a visitor to Nursery. Our local lollypop lady came into Nursery and spoke about how to be safe on the roads, and how to cross correctly.
We also provided different activities for the children to extend their learning, the children were able to make their own traffic lights and understand the pattern to lights and which colour means stop/go, and in preschool we even made our own traffic light sandwiches we help the children understand the colours too. We have learnt so much this week 😊.

We had lots of rain yesterday which means one thing.. Lots of puddles!
We had so many puddles in our preschool garden, and we thought we would have fun in them. All the children got dressed in there water proof clothes and explored all the puddles. The children had so much fun using their Sammy skills being active like Active Azra, we was all very excited. The children enjoyed running and jumping all the way through the puddles. Even the adults got involved too!

We spoke about the weather, and how the weather change throughout different seasons and how the rain puddles felts on their feet .

We love having so much fun in preschool and getting dirty and messy!

This week at Chinnbrook we have been doing lots of learning around remembrance day, the children have been making their poppies using different materials. The children in preschool have taken lots of interest in learning about, the war and why we wear the poppies. Which we have now displayed outside nursery for all the children/families to see our wonderful display.

Last week at Chinnbrook we celebrated Diwali, we invited all our families into celebrate with us and we provided a wide range different activities for the families to explore and have fun with. We had the best time, and it is always nice to be able too see everyone enjoying themselves. Thank you all for joining us!

Today is National Nursery Practitioner Day and we'd like to say a huge thank you to all our fabulous practitioners who work so hard every single day.

This week we started to learn all about Diwali and why we celebrate the festival, within our playdough area we added resources to create our own diva lamps. The children loved learning about Diwali and creating their own lamps. The children were showing great control manipulating the dough and using their Sammy skills to use the different tools. We had some great diva lamps, and we even added some natural resources to them after. Well, done to the children 😊
