This 7th floor flat in Bedminster had a failed mechanism to a very specific profile, the drive arm had snapped and therefore wasn't coming out of tilt.

Often people walk away from tilt and turn, we don't!
We have a solid understanding of how these types of windows work and we were happy to help this customer, who as on the top floor, believe me needed this window open in the heat.

The communal front door to two flats in Bristol needed the entrance door cylinder to be changed to allow free egress
We attended this morning and replaced the key/key cylinder with a key and turn TS007 snap safe APECS XS cylinder, cut additional keys on site and also installed a protective letterbox cowl to protect against attack on the thumbturn.

It is now a legal requirement that exit doors to HMOs and entrance doors to flats are a key free exit

More bifold door repairs.... this time to an unbelievable house in Leigh woods.
I get to see a lot of properties in this job and in my 11 years in Bristol this has to be the nicest.
The timber doors had dropped and we're dragging and had caused the handles to break whilst being forced shut.
We adjusted and serviced the doors to work smoothly and replaced the handles with a smart stainless steel coastal grade pair.

Stuff of dreams this property and a pleasure to work on.

We were called to a business on the waterfront that needed a key/key cylinder replaced to a cylinder that would allow keyless escape.
We attended and installed a new APECS XS 1* euro cylinder with an internal thumbturn and cut 5x additional keys whilst on site at the customers request.

Another day another problem solved

This morning we removed some old badly worn panic bolt hardware and replaced it with the Dorma pullman latch PH200 range.
Functionality wise the anti thrust latches are a far superior function to the old panic bolt systems.
The finish is sleek and even from an installation point of view I much prefer this style.
(And yes the self levelling laser has changed the game)
Work smarter not harder.

This newly purchased period property in Keynsham only had a standard Yale nightlatch on the front door. The customer wanted to not only change the locks but also upgrade them.

We installed a British standard double locking nightlatch in place of the old Yale and cut in a new British standard 5 lever deadlock, both in a polished brass finish to suit.

Bit of a bank holiday fun...
We got a callout this afternoon to the Mulberry estate in Bath after someone had found us on the MLA website
A composite door to a newly built upstairs flat had failed and the high security 3* cylinder was spinning and spinning. I won't lie at this point I wanted to run away 😂
Composite doors can be a complete nightmare externally as access is limited. so we climbed up to the balcony and once inside could remove the handle and identify it was a faulty Avantis mechanism.
As we had the replacement part on board we could see how the locking talon worked,which had clearly snapped.
We drilled a small hole to access manually and flicked open.
The handles and cylinder could be retained and we replaced the faulty gearbox
The customer was very pleased no damage had been caused.
