One or two people have said to me, “why are you digging your kitchen floor up, It’s lovely!”

Well, we knew there was a problem and it appears not just a little one 😳. No wonder the heating kept playing up. 🫣🫣🫣 we have found a pool of water underneath the heating pads 🫣🫣🫣.

Looks like we will be having a takeaway again tonight unless anybody has a portable hob that I can borrow? Kitchen is currently out of bounds. 😩

It’s so annoying as I did have four portable hobs when I was running the Cookery groups but I got rid of them all last year. Typical!

Here are two cakes I made last weekend.🥂

I’m now having a few weeks break from baking. My kitchen floor is currently being removed - what a mess!! And next week when the new floor is being laid, I will be getting a new hip! 😰

This is usually my busiest, most fun time of year prepping for Christmas. It’s really weird not having to make 30+ Xmas Cakes And prepping Mince Pies. Last year I made 500!

I have been asked about Christmas orders already, but I’m not going to commit to any bakes for December until I know how my recovery is going.

Leading up to this month, I have been dreading the thought of switching off. But I am now ready for a break. I’m sure you’ll still hear from me over the coming weeks 🥰.

I’m doing a little bit of baking today before my Kitchen closes for a few weeks. If you are looking for a little treat for someone special, I will have lemon drizzle, raspberry and white chocolate Brownies as well as Tiffin available - freshly baked this morning.

As many of you know, I’m taking a little bit of time off leading up to my hip operation in a couple of weeks. 🦴😂

It’s really strange not baking every day! I was getting withdrawal symptoms yesterday, so I gave in and made some banana & chocolate loaves. 🍌🍫 I might even do a bit more baking at the weekend… because apparently I can’t stay away from the kitchen for too long! 😂

So, if anyone fancies a little sweet treat — brownies, lemon drizzle, Tiffin or something along those lines — drop me a message. I might just wave my magic wand 🪄✨ and squeeze in a few treats before my operation.

Although, I have to say, it’s been rather lovely having a tidy kitchen… especially as the floor is being dug up and replaced next week! 😂🙈 So I’d better enjoy it while it lasts! 💕
