Proud Announcement!

We are delighted to share that our Preschool is now one of the main feeders to St Peter’s Catholic Primary School.

In addition to this, we are also proud to be their only wrap-around care provider, offering both an on-site setting within the school and an off-site provision to support families in the best way possible.

We feel incredibly fortunate to work so closely with such a wonderful school. Their ethos aligns so closely with our own, and we are proud to stand alongside them in sharing the same values of care, community, and nurturing every child’s development.

▫️ If you are looking for wrap around care for your child/ren who attend St Peter’s or who are starting in September then please do get in contact, our availability is very limited but we do have a couple of sessions available. [email protected]

▪️ Or if you are looking for a local Preschool then please email us or visit our website to arrange a viewing and meet our amazing team. [email protected]

We would like Providers to help share BBC CBeebies Parenting resources and content with parents and caregivers to support pre-school children as they prepare to start their adventure in early years settings or school.

Check out the ‘skills for starting school’ collection on the CBeebies Parenting website for free, expert advice and activity ideas to grow children’s independence and support their development. Find help with everything from introducing the potty and toilet independence, taking turns and sharing, to helping with shyness around starting school and managing separation anxiety.

Families can also enjoy a selection of songs, stories, games and advice from CBeebies on BBC iPlayer.

From mid-August, there will be a special CBeebies Parenting Download episode exploring how confidence, communication, emotional reassurance and growing independence can all help children settle into a new environment.

Packed lunch inspiration for little ones! 🍇🍎🍌🥪🌯🥯

We know those busy mornings when you’re wondering “what on earth do I put in their lunch box today?”

Our video is here to give you some simple, healthy and realistic ideas for preschool & school packed lunches.

Our children’s favourite carbs in their lunchboxes are;

- cheese sandwiches
- crackers with butter
- tuna pasta
- ham and cheese wrap
- cheese spread bagel

We’re also a nut & egg-free setting, so our ideas keep this in mind.

Save this for your next packed lunch day! 📌❤️

“But what if they cry when I leave?”
“What if they’re not ready?”
“How will I know they’re okay?”

We hear this all the time and we completely understand.
As parents ourselves we know that starting a Preschool or any form of childcare can feel so overwhelming and emotional.
Firstly it only seems like our children were born yesterday and now maternity leave is over and we’re having to return to work and find a nursery/ preschool or childminder to care for our precious little babies!

That’s why we never rush settling in.
No set number of settles.
No pressure.
No “one way fits all.”

We go at THEIR pace.

🌿 FIRST SETTLE
Around an hour together — you and your child with us.

This is about more than settling in. It’s about us getting to know your child — their personality, interests, comforts, and what makes them feel safe
And just as importantly, getting to know you and your family.

🌿 SECOND SETTLE
You stay again, and when your child is ready, you may step out for a short time.

We know this can be really hard so we fully support you too.

We’ll keep in touch via WhatsApp, updating you so you’re never left wondering “are they okay?”
We’ll then arrange a time for you to return.

🌿 THIRD SETTLE
When ready, you’ll drop your child at the door and we’ll take it from there.

This is usually a couple of hours and often includes lunch helping them gently build confidence in our routine.

And if they’re not ready yet? That’s okay too.

We simply slow things down.

Every child is different.
Every family is different.
Every journey is different.

Our priority is simple:
Your child feels safe, secure and happy — and you feel reassured, supported and confident.

Communication is key.
We listen. We reassure. We update. We work with you every step of the way.

We are a family run childcare provider and we understand and appreciate the importance of being trusted with your little ones. Which is why 8 years ago we opened up our family for the Billericay and surrounding areas🤍

Is your little one starting nursery, preschool, with a childminder or Reception this September? 💛

The summer holidays are the perfect time to gently prepare them for their exciting new adventure. It doesn’t have to be a big job, in fact, we recommend doing just one small activity each week during the six-week break.

Here are some simple ideas:

- Talk about their new setting in a positive and exciting way.

- If possible, drive or walk past the setting so it starts to feel familiar.

- Look at photos on the setting’s website or social media and chat about what you can see.

- If you already have their uniform, let them try it on! Turn it into a fun dress-up session, take lots of photos and tell them how grown up and amazing they look.

- Make shopping for their lunch bag, water bottle, shoes or backpack a special outing. Let them choose their own (where possible) and explain they’ll be using them at nursery, preschool or school.

- Sit together and draw pictures of what they think their new setting might look like, or what toys and activities they hope they’ll find there.

- If the setting is open during the holidays, ask if you can arrange a visit or show-around to help them become familiar with the environment.

Remember, this doesn’t need to happen every day. Keeping it simple and spreading these experiences over the six weeks helps build excitement without becoming overwhelming and by introducing the idea gradually you are helping them become familiar with what’s coming before their first day.

The more familiar something feels, the less scary it often becomes. By September, they’ll already recognise their uniform, know what their lunch bag looks like, have seen photos of their new setting and may even recognise the building when they arrive.

Every child settles differently, and that’s completely ok. These gentle steps simply give them the best possible start to this exciting new chapter.

Our messages are always open if you need advise or some guidance, we are always happy to help🫶
