Bee has finished her wonderful Chester Clock Tower. There was a huge amount of complex drawing and painting done to achieve this very complicated composition. Great stuff.

Lisa finished her wonderful highland track way painting just in time for the end of term.The textures and contrasting light and shade required lots of experimentation to capture the essence of the landscape.All done with innovative brushwork and colour mixing.

Mike's painting of Honfleur was his last before the Summer break. Great drawing captured the proportions of the composition. Strong attention to colour mixing and detail further embraced the busy activity to be observed in the scene, complemented by good painting of reflections.

Just at the end of term Jenny completed her seascape. There was great control of colour and form to keep the brooding sense of impending storm and the dramatic movement of the sea.Strong stuff.

Mary, who is newish to the course finished her still life. This painting builds on her several drawn still lifes
The painting shows really well observed form and proportion enhanced by carefull painting to capture the tones and textures of the articles. Great.

Sue has finished her beautifully detailed Moth and Chrisilis painting. Lots of attention to foliage and pattern detail, and careful brushwork captured the textures of the insect.Well done.

At the end of last term Leigh finished her painting of her son contemplating the beautiful mountain landscape.
Leigh used all sorts of innovative ways to capture the tones of the forest and ripples on the lake.Great contrast too between figure,seat and landscape, great stuff.

Philippa has completed her gentle painting recalling happy times. Good drawing has captured the proportions of children.The subtle colours and textures were caught with careful brushwork and colour mixing. Great stuff

Frank has finished a third still life. This one built on the skills learnt on the last two. Careful drawing, looking and paont application. Well done

Adele is exploring the use of using the pallette knife to apply paint. This requires good discipline, not revisiting already painted areas and letting the scrape and blend technique bring vitality to the composition .It is all happening with Adele's latest painting.
