Happy World Bee Day!
This week in Reception, we’ve been buzzing with excitement as we learnt all about bees!
We took part in lots of fun bee-themed challenges around the classroom and during our focused learning time.

As part of our outdoor learning, we went on a walk to visit the hives at Kingsley and even stopped to smell the flowers the bees love to visit.

What a wonderful way to celebrate these amazing little pollinators!

To kickstart the Appledore Book Festival at Kingsley Prep School this week, we had a visit from M&M productions who put on an amazing production of The Railway Children by Edith Nesbitt, a classic in children’s literature. Prep School children enjoyed the story, which was very well performed, of how a family had to move to Yorkshire from London, and how the children developed a special relationship with the people on and around the railway.
