This week is Deaf Awareness week! What better way to celebrate than joining us to learn some BSL! We have a special offer running at the moment giving you 20% off!

Workshop begins on:-

Wednesday 10th June 7:00-9:00pm

& then every Wednesday after 17th June, 24th June and 1st and 8th July.

Come and learn in a relaxed, friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

It’s Deaf awareness week 4th-10th May
Simply sign will be sharing some fantastic resources to help start conversations and raise awareness.

Below is a video from NDCS (National Deaf Children’s Society) which is aimed at Early Years students, to help support communication between hearing children and their Deaf peers.

How fantastic to have tailored resources to teach Deaf awareness at such an early age!
I’ll definitely be sharing this with the students I work with next week to help improve communication.

We’ll be sharing more of our favourite finds to celebrate Deaf awareness next week! ☺️

Very proud to say I have passed my Level 6 Certificate in British Sign Language!

This has been hard-won: two years of my life, during which we had family illnesses, I started my own business, left my job and completed Part 1 of my interpreting diploma.

I know, from hanging out with the Oxford Deaf community regularly, that my signing ability is good, but it's nice to have something official that proves it!
