A great first Adult Ballet class back to start the term off with tonight 🩰.
We even changed the lyrics on the grand allegro from West Side Story’s ‘ I feel pretty’ to ‘I feel sweaty’ 🤦🏼‍♀️! Well done everyone, good to be back - lots of hard work xx 🥰

As we all start another school year I hope everyone is beginning to settle in well. Hopefully the summer holidays do not feel too far away and you’ve all had some good summer fun. With classes starting soon I’m looking forward to seeing you all, catching up and dancing with you all again.

I wanted to take this opportunity in wishing Hannah the very best as she leaves home and starts uni after some fantastic ALevel results.
Hannah has been dancing with me since the age of 4 and I’m going to miss her a lot. During the past 14 years Hannah has made her way through her RAD ballet exams and taken part in all the shows. I’ve been lucky to see Hannah grow from a little girl to an independent strong lady, with a bright future ahead of her.

I know you’ll smash it at uni and put your all into it, good luck in everything you do Hannah and classes will feel very strange without you, I’ll miss seeing you too Emma!

First ideas with classes, to class work, to costume deliveries, to rehearsals to show day ✍️📦👯‍♂️🪩…

A lot of time and thought goes into enhancing costumes and creating props. Part of the show preparation includes Catherine and I meeting up and discussing dances and what it is I’d like to be achieved in the theme and how to portray this to everyone.
The additions to the costumes, headdresses and props all bring so much life to the stage.
Catherine has been involved from the start of the school opening when her daughter Maeve-Anne joined as one of the first dancers. Maeve-Anne has recently graduated from Central School of Speech and Drama and was initially selling programmes on Saturday but had to leave after getting a call from her agent!
Huge credit to Catherine for her professional creativity, your hard work is great appreciated …. 🥰🧵✍️🪡✂️

Allan and I also have to create technical file for the sound and lighting team, along with the backdrop images and Natalie helps me create the musical playlist 🥰 🎶 🎧 🎤
