✨ A New Look for Sirens & Sparkles! ✨

You may have noticed that things are starting to look a little different around here! 💙🌊

As our clubs and programme have developed, we've realised that Sirens & Sparkles better represents everything our children and young people will experience with us.

First aid will always be an important part of what we do, but our clubs are about so much more. Members will have opportunities to develop life skills, independence, confidence, communication, friendships, safety awareness and practical skills, while taking part in fun and accessible activities and working towards badges, milestones and awards.

🌊 So what's changing?

You'll start to see our shorter Sirens & Sparkles name and refreshed branding across our page, website, posters and club materials.

We're still the same organisation, with the same values and commitment to creating welcoming and inclusive opportunities for children and young people.

Our registered organisation remains Sirens & Sparkles First Aid CIC, and Sirens & Sparkles is the name we'll increasingly use for our clubs and public-facing activities.

And there's more to look forward to…

📅 Our Sidcup clubs are now preparing to launch in January 2027, giving us more time to recruit and train our volunteer team and make sure everything is ready to give our members the best possible start.

We're excited to announce that Sirens & Sparkles First Aid CIC is now accepting registrations for our SEND-led youth clubs in Sidcup!

💚 Sea Turtles (Ages 5–10)
📅 Saturdays | ⏰ 2:30pm–3:45pm

🧡 Otters (Ages 11–17)
📅 Thursdays | ⏰ 6:00pm–7:15pm

💙 Dolphins (Ages 18–25)
🚀 Launching soon!

Our clubs provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where children and young people can:

💚 Build confidence and independence
💙 Make lasting friendships

🤝 Volunteers Needed

We're also looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with SEND.

🎉 We're now on the Bexley Local Offer! 🎉

We are delighted to share that Sirens & Sparkles First Aid CIC is now officially listed on the Bexley Local Offer! 💙

The Bexley Local Offer helps families find trusted services and support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) aged 0 to 25. Being included means it's now even easier for families to discover our inclusive first aid and life skills clubs.

At Sirens & Sparkles, we provide:
⭐ SEND-friendly First Aid & Life Skills Clubs for ages 5-25
⭐ Small groups with personalised support
⭐ Confidence building and independence
⭐ Practical first aid skills in a safe, welcoming environment

Hi,

I had a few parents ask if I can change Sea Turtles club (5-10 year olds) at Sidcup from Thursday to either a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Please let me know if you prefer...

Thursdays - 6pm to 7.15pm
Saturdays - 12pm - 1.15pm
Sundays - 12pm - 1.15pm
Weekend- other time

I need to finalise this by beginning of August.

Signs someone may be dehydrated:
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Dark urine
• Dry mouth
• Tiredness

Remember to check on:

“Never Leave Children In Cars” 🚗

🚗 Even with the windows open, cars heat up dangerously fast.

A child can become seriously unwell in minutes.

If you see a child or vulnerable person trapped in a hot car:
☎️ Call 999 immediately if they appear distressed or unresponsive.

Heatstroke is a medical emergency.
