Our amazing French holiday camp is back this February for 3 days of Half Term fun from Monday 17th - Wednesday 19th February 2025!

The camp is packed with activities to suit everyone. There are team challenges, games, arts and crafts, a food craft each day, and LOTS of French without the children even knowing they are learning.

Our club runs from 9am until 4pm (gates open 10mins either side).

We are SEND inclusive and all our staff are experienced, First Aid trained and DBS checked, to ensure your children are safe and come home to you tired and happy!

Each day is themed, and we will announce these nearer the time.

You can book a single day for £35, or for £90 book in for all three days!

Meet Sarah! 👋

Sarah is the owner of Lingotot Bexley and we are your go-to children's language business in and around Bexley, Chislehurst, Sidcup, New Eltham, Erith and beyond, with language specialists teaching in Nurseries, Primary Schools, Holiday Camps, After School Clubs and more.

Sarah lives in Welling, South East London and is wife to Kerry, mum to daughter Freya (almost 12) and son Xander (9). Sarah has had a love of languages since she was very young.

Sarah studied French and German Interpreting and Translating at degree, and then took a Masters in Translation and Technology. She worked at an American Investment Bank for a number of years, looking after Benelux clients and using languages on a daily basis.

She loves teaching children and watching them process new words. Sarah finds it so rewarding to help them experience a new language and has been known to well up when a child suddenly clicks and starts singing a song entirely in French much to their mum's astonishment.

What happens on our Half Term French Holiday Camp? 🇫🇷

Each day there is at least one art/craft activity which could be painting, glueing, something alone or in teams, we also do a food craft activity so this could be decorating a biscuit to eat or even making something from scratch. There is usually a team challenge like finding clues to unlock a message, or piecing together a puzzle. This is all interspersed with free play, colouring, mini games, parachutes, 'Simon Says' and other activities.

The key is, everyone is included, we stick to the day's theme, and we speak as much French as possible! The children will be learning French without even knowing they are learning!

The holiday camp will run from Monday 28th October to Friday 1st November 2024 (9am to 4pm) at Redhill Primary School, Chislehurst.

The club will run for five days, individually priced at £35 per day, with a discount of £25 for bookings for all 5 days. If you are booking more than one child onto the camp, please contact us for a discount code to give you 15% off at checkout.

I love teaching children and watching them process new words. It is so rewarding to help them experience a new language and I have been known to well up when a child suddenly clicks and starts singing a song entirely in French much to their mum's astonishment.

Learning a language at a young age is so valuable as children truly are like sponges. The younger they learn a second or third language, the more likely it is to become second nature to them, and a skill they can maintain forever.

I have had a love of languages since I was very young. In fact I remember a family holiday when I was 6 when I met a French girl and I asked my aunt and cousins to teach me sentences so we could play. That was the start of a passion that has grown and grown.

At Lingotot Bexley we teach in community classes, day nurseries, KS1 and KS2 at Primary Schools (PPA), Lunch and Afterschool clubs.

Lingotot classes are packed full of interactive songs, games, stories, craft and most importantly, they are fun! WORLD TEACHER DAY

Happy World Teacher Day to all my amazing teachers shown above and to all those who work for me from time to time.

As well as Laura, Michelle, Ellie and Julia who are doing an amazing week teaching this term, I would also like to shout out Emma, Eva, Alex, Emma R, Cara, Anna, Grace, Elena, Julia and Maria who have all helped me out over the past 12 months (I am sure I am forgetting someone...sorry).

The theme for World Teacher's Day 2024 is “Valuing Teacher Voices: Towards a New Social Contract for Education”. This theme focuses on the importance of listening to teachers and involving them in shaping educational policies and practices.

Did you know we can support teaching languages for children as young as nursery age?

Today is German Unity Day! 🇩🇪

On October 3rd each year, the Day of German Unity commemorates the German reunification, when former German Democratic Republic officially joined the Federal Republic of Germany on 3rd October 1990. This followed the iconic fall of the Berlin Wall on 9th November 1989.

The day is traditionally celebrated with events across Germany and is a nationwide holiday.

As well as teaching children languages, we also teach them all about events and celebrations in the countries of the languages they are learning.
