We made some lovely owls this week using layers of cardboard, coloured paper, oil pastels, paint pens and coloured tape.

A fabulous clay ‘Hagrid House’ complete with pumpkins, completed today. Note the effective use of the dry brushing technique to get the weathered look 😀

Two fabulous completed canvases from tonight’s class. We looked at patterns and symmetry in design. We then designed our own pattern that was traced and reversed on the canvas to make a repeating, symmetrical painting. Nice work! .

I e got really behind with posting all the lovely artwork made recently. I’m going to work backwards and try to get most of it on line as it’s too good to sit in my photos without anyone seeing it!!
We made scraper paintings for the backgrounds for these ink and brush still life drawings. We also made some wonderful study drawings in different media -post to follow

Our Story

This page is to show some of the wonderful work done by the children who attend the art club at Hurst Community Centre and the studio space in Bexleyheath. Some of the children have been attending the classes for over a year, and some have been with us from the start - three years ago!

This page will also have details of upcoming events and courses, including family sessions, one to ones and the new adult experimental art and printmaking courses.
