With the escalating tensions rising in Ukraine, Door of Hope and Link to Hope are working together to help the many lives that have been torn apart. Constantly remaining in contact with our project leaders we are hearing some are in hiding underground, others travelling many miles sometimes through the night to reach the borders on the western side with sadly husbands having to remain in Ukraine while their wives and children are allowed to cross. With contacts in surrounding countries, we have been able to place distressed friends and colleagues into the care of family homes. Some project leaders have been defiant about leaving the projects and people we support, this unfortunately has not been the case for others in frightening situations. Through our contacts, both charities continue to help place the vulnerable people into safe conditions and send funds where most needed. This is an awful situation that the Ukraine people are in and we need your help. How long Putin will continue this barbaric rain on innocent people, we do not know but we will however to the best of our ability, continue to guide these precious lives to some form of safety and support them financially to obtain food and aid.
