πββοΈπ₯ A Fantastic Weekend of Achievements! π₯πββοΈ
Tori smashed her parkrun PB yesterday, breaking a personal best that had stood for over two years with an incredible 21:15! π Tori has come so far since joining us, and it's been amazing to watch her progress.
Today, Harvey and Phoebe took on the East Yorkshire Half Marathon.
π Phoebe finished as the 17th female overall, despite only signing up today!
π€― Harvey produced a huge performance, taking over 8 minutes off his previous PB to go sub-1:40 for the first time.
There is so much more to come from all three of them, and we can't wait to see what they achieve next.
Want to achieve your own goals and be part of a supportive running community?
π© Get in touch or come and join us on a Wednesday evening!

π SJS Athlete Spotlight β Demi π
We haven't really done athlete spotlights before, but we want to start celebrating the amazing members that make SJS what it is. It felt only right to begin with Demi.
Demi first joined SJS in January 2025 and has never looked back. Since her very first session, she has grown massively in confidence and become one of the most dedicated and committed runners in the group.
Demi rarely misses a session and even during recovery weeks she'll still come along for easy miles (although her "easy" pace is still strangely fast! π). She is always there supporting others, whether that's during training sessions or cheering people on at races.
As well as being a fantastic runner herself, Demi is one of the most supportive members of the SJS community. She's always encouraging others and celebrating their achievements just as much as her own.
Last week, Demi was one of the very few females left standing at the Altus Beat the Clock event, completing an incredible 23 of the 25 laps and finishing her final lap at a blistering 5-minute-mile pace. π€―
Earlier this year, Demi also completed a 12-hour Backyard Ultra, covering 48 miles and finishing as the fastest female across all laps.
Her personal bests speak for themselves:
πββοΈ 5K β 18:08
πββοΈ 10K β 36:56
Demi's marathon journey is equally impressive. Her debut marathon was 4 hours 6 minutes, and through hard work, consistency and determination, she has reduced that to an incredible PB of 2 hours 54 minutes.
Despite all of her achievements, Demi remains humble, supportive and always willing to help others achieve their goals.
We're incredibly proud to have Demi as part of SJS and can't wait to see what she achieves next. π

π SJS Achievements Round-Up π
We've had a fantastic couple of weeks packed full of achievements from the SJS crew! π
π₯ Ben smashed his parkrun PB with a fantastic 22:48, then followed it up just two days later with the EHH Leven 10K.
π₯ Demi went back under 20 minutes at parkrun for the first time this year. We don't think that'll be the last sub-20 she achieves in 2026! π¨
π₯ Ellen proudly represented at the European Triathlon Championships, an incredible achievement.
π₯ Greg smashed his competition and continues to go from strength to strength.
π₯ Josh and Tori took on the Sledmere 10K, with Josh securing an impressive 3rd place finish. π₯
π₯ Stan, at just 13 years old, absolutely smashed his parkrun PB, running an incredible 19:15! π
π₯ Dannii paced the Grimsby 10K to a perfectly judged 65 minutes, helping runners achieve their goals and enjoy the race. Stu also took part in the Grimsby 10K, putting in another strong performance.
π₯ On Sunday, we had a fantastic turnout at the Altus Beat the Clock with: β’ Chris
β’ Phoebe
β’ Tori
β’ Josh
β’ Demi
β’ Greg
β’ Stu
β’ Ian
Everyone absolutely smashed it and put in some fantastic performances.
It's brilliant to see so many goals being achieved, PBs being broken and hard work paying off. Whether you're chasing podiums, personal bests, supporting others as pacers, or simply showing up and giving your all, you're all doing amazing

π 2 Years of SJS! π
This Friday marks 2 years of SJS, so tonight we celebrated in true SJS style with a fun card game session, Pick Your Session! ππββοΈπββοΈ
Some people definitely got it easier than others... ππ
There was so much laughter from start to finish, even when the rain decided to join us! βπ
A huge thank you to everyone who has been part of the SJS journey over the last two years. From our first session to now, it's been amazing to see the community we've built together.
π₯ Video coming soon... and trust us, it's a lot of fun! ππ
