er ensembles, rock bands, choirs, numerous music projects with outside agencies and more than 15 specialist music staff, the Music Department is one of the busiest and liveliest in the borough. Our facilities include 2 state of the art ICT suites, a large recording studio with a separate control booth, additional smaller recording rooms, numerous practise rooms, classrooms with breakout spaces and a large performance theatre-making us one of the biggest and most up to date music departments in the country! Extra-curricular experiences include overseas trips, seminars and masterclasses. Over the past decade, strong links have been formed with various outside agencies including Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Barbican Creative Learning, Musical Futures, SERIOUS, THAMES (Tower Hamlets Arts and Music Education Service) CM Sounds, local primary schools and the Institute of Education. These links are enhanced through industry support from Korg, Roland, Hofner, Taylor Guitars and Yamaha.
