🌳 Year 1’s Creation Adventure! 🌍
Year 1 enjoyed a wonderful walk to church on Wednesday to meet Father Lee and explore the story of Creation. Our Challenge Seekers did a fantastic job using their maps to navigate the way there!
In the churchyard, we talked about the amazing animals God created and explored the beehives, bird boxes and trees planted by previous generations of Holy Trinity children. We were amazed to see how much the tree planted 20 years ago had grown! We also talked about the changing seasons and what happens in each one.
Inside the church, we followed an animal scavenger hunt, explored the church and continued our discussions about Creation. Our Inquisitive Thinkers asked some brilliant questions, so brilliant that Father Lee had to really think about some of his answers! 🐝🐦🌳
On the walk back, we put our map-reading skills to the test again, spotted a stone compass and talked about the directions we had travelled.
We are so proud of our Challenge Seekers, Inquisitive Thinkers and Kind Hearts. What a wonderful morning of curiosity, discovery and learning! Well done, Year 1! ⭐
