It’s that time of the year again, please feel free to share far and wide. 😊

Today we got our puddle suits and welly boots on to go to the maze. The children really enjoyed playing in the puddles!
This fits into so many of our areas of learning:

The arts - the children were mixing natural materials like stones and sticks into the puddles to make potions. This then made the puddles magic so that when we stepped into them, it made us dance 💃🏻 , giggle 🤭and freeze 🥶 !

Early Mathematics - we were looking at the size of the puddles. The children recognised which puddles were big, which puddles were small and which puddles were medium sized! They also counted how many puddles there were to jump in and talked about how deep some of the puddles were!

Physical Development - the children loved jumping in the muddy puddles and running between the puddles while the water splashed around them.

We had so much fun!

Happy Graduation to our class of 2024! What a year we have had! We are so proud of each and every one of our Astorians!

All of our boys and girls were outstanding at our sports day this morning! The pure joy beaming out of each child as they ran their races with their friends and did gymnastics for their families to see! We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of you!

As our topic of mini beasts comes to an end, here are some photographs of our very curious and clever children investigating some of our worlds fantastic creatures.

Spending lots of time outside is so good for us! We have had great fun with bubble, blocks, playing football,
Making daisy chains! We are so lucky to have such fabulous outdoor spaces for the children to enjoy!

Thank you so much to Wee Critters for coming to visit us today and brining all your amazing creatures for us to see! We absolutely loved it and the children were so brave! What a fantastic morning!

Today we took a walk to the pencil park. It was such a beautiful day! We wanted to soak up every bit of that lovely sunshine so we had a picnic lunch on the grass! A lovely day! 🥰

Yesterday we had the whole school to ourselves. We did some free play in the classroom in the morning then went to the hall to do gymnastics! We had so much fun! Then we went outside to practice for our sports day!
