Leah – Co-Founder & Specialist Tutor at MindMoves NI
Leah is a passionate, experienced educator with a strong foundation in both mainstream and specialist education. Primary qualified to work with children from Nurser
y through to age 19, she has spent over a decade supporting learners across a wide age range and ability spectrum. A maths and science specialist, Leah brings energy, clarity, and creativity to subjects that many children find challenging. Her practical, hands-on approach helps learners build confidence and truly understand the "why" behind the numbers and concepts. Since 2012, Leah has worked extensively as a SEND teacher, gaining additional qualifications in areas including autism, ADHD, sensory processing needs, and more. She is deeply committed to inclusive education and tailors her teaching to support each learner’s unique strengths and needs. Leah is also qualified in disability sports, and is trained in British Sign Language (BSL) and Makaton, helping her connect with children who use different forms of communication. Whether in the classroom, on the sports field, or in a one-to-one tutoring session, Leah’s calm, supportive approach ensures learners feel safe, understood, and empowered to succeed. Biography
Adele Jeffries
Senior Partner MindMoves NI | Specialist in SEND, Literacy, and Wellbeing
Adele is an experienced and highly qualified educator with over 20 years of teaching in both mainstream and special education settings across England and Northern Ireland. Her expertise spans a wide range of learning needs, with a strong focus on English/literacy, wellbeing and neurodiversity. She is a doctoral research student with an interest in Special Educational Needs and Wellbeing and holds a Master’s degree in Addressing Specific Literacy Difficulties (Dyslexia and ASD). Adele is also a registered practitioner on the British Psychological Society’s Register of Qualifications in Test Use (RQTU) and holds specialist qualifications in Educational Testing and Access Arrangements. She is an Approved Teacher with the British Dyslexia Association, and her academic background includes a PGCE in English (Secondary), a Postgraduate Diploma in Policy and Management, and an Honours degree in English Language and Literature. Adele served as a GCSE English examiner for many years and has delivered a variety of exam board-accredited training courses in English and other areas. She teaches across the core curriculum, and also brings specialist expertise in drama, art and horticulture. As the founder of NI School Gardens, Adele promotes outdoor, hands-on learning experiences. In recent years, she has focused on leading creative classes in flower arranging, sewing and other crafts, combining therapeutic techniques with skill-building and self-expression. Adele is also trained in Using Mindfulness Techniques to Reduce Anxiety in Children and Young People, reflecting her holistic and child-centred approach to education. Her work is grounded in empathy, structure and the belief that every learner can thrive with the right support. Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all bookings for tuition, testing, assessments, and consultancy services delivered by MindMoves NI. Full payment is required for all services and by making payment you confirm your acceptance of the Terms and Conditions outlined below.

1. Agreement to Terms
By booking any service with MindMoves NI, you (the client or parent/guardian) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

2. Booking and Payment
• All services must be booked in advance via our approved booking process or direct agreement.
• Full payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• All bookings are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, including non-attendance for any reason.

3. Client Conduct
• Clients and learners must behave respectfully at all times. Disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the session without refund.
• Disruption to other learners or the tutor will not be tolerated.

4. Ownership of Materials
• All content, assessments, resources, and materials provided remain the intellectual property of MindMoves NI.
• No material may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or shared (physically or digitally) without express written permission.

5. Session Cancellation by MindMoves NI
• In the unlikely event of session cancellation due to tutor illness, severe weather, venue issues, or unforeseen circumstances, an alternative date will be offered.
• MindMoves NI will not be liable for any resulting costs or inconvenience.

6. Limitation of Liability
• MindMoves NI is not liable for any decisions, outcomes, or consequences resulting from services provided, including educational placements, exam results, or school decisions.
• Liability is strictly limited to the value of the session or service booked.

7. Safeguarding and Privacy
• We operate under all applicable child protection and data protection laws.

8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Any disputes will be handled through the appropriate legal channels within that jurisdiction.
