We are officially graduates of 2019.

A Master of Science , Retail Management in Fashion & Textiles.

On this master's we all had met each other not knowing that so much amazing things would come out of the year.

We cried together, supported each other through excurating deadlines and also created something so meaningful & inspiring - MATTER.

MATTER is so dear to our hearts and it's been so incredibly mind-blowing the support from everyone and how we have created things in such a short amount of time.
-
We are still super new and still finding our feet with everything. From understanding what we are, to want MATTER is and finding our voice in what we are passionate about. But it's an exciting starting point and excited to see where we will take it!

We hope you all have a fantastic Christmas holiday and a happy new year!

Thank you to EVERYONE that has taken part of our markets, that have come and supported our event & local designers. We will be coming back in 2020 with new vibes and fresh ideas!

MATTER MARKET - BELFAST DESIGN WEEK — Matter With the success of our first ever Matter Market in March, it was an absolute delight to bring another Market to the city of Belfast before the close of 2019...and what better a week to do it than Belfast Design Week!  This year’s theme for BDW was Power, and for Matter this really resona

We are so pleased to introduce Sarah Cathers - Mixed Media Artist, to Matter Market!

Sarah explores preservation and sustainability by using traditional textile techniques in an unconventional way to mend, re-purpose and rebuild found and forgotten objects of curiosity.

“A collector of oddities with an urge to document and preserve the forgotten. Fascinated by fragmentation, I g*ther pieces of found objects, mending and rebuilding the broken and re-purposing the discarded. I use fibres to conceal and repair, wrapping and sustaining an objects history whilst also acknowledging the past.”

Sisters and freelance artists, Clare Downing & Roisin Keag will be joining the Matter Market this Saturday!

Supplying a range of cards printed from original artwork, framed prints and small ceramic pieces.

There will be a selection of gorgeous images from Roisin’s landscape paintings & Clare’s captured from the Palm House in Botanic Gardens.
