One of the drawing rooms which was used to design the Titanic, now a hotel which retains many original features such as this room, Thomas Andrews office and much more.
Located opposite is the Titanic Museum and the slip ways where Titanic and Olympic were and a short walk is the dry dock where the Titanic was fitted out internally.

The office of both Rudolph Hess (when he was deputy Fuhrer and then Martin Bormann is still present and in use today in Berlin.
Some battle damage is still visible.

A visit to the Kaiser Welhelm Memorial Church in Berlin, Germany yesterday.
The original west tower was partially destroyed by allied bombing in 1943.
Originally built in the 1890s, this structure shows the effects of war and lasts as a reminder to us today, it is well worth a visit if in Berlin.

All packed and ready to explore Berlin tomorrow.
I'll be visiting a range of key locations from World War 2!
A busy year last year with other commitments, but this year I will be visiting.
Berlin, Normandy, Poland (Warsaw, Wroclaw and Zagan) and also another road trip in the campervan for 10 days.

Before and after of Adolf Hitler's out of bounds area where he and many of his command structure resided, I visited this location in September 2023, some remaining structure left including bunkers, retaining walls, footings, drive way and more!

Pointe-du-Hoc overlooks the English Channel on the coast in Normandy.
During World War 2, Pointe du Hoc was occupied by the German forces and was fortified with a range of structures and weapon systems.
6th June 1944 the Americans attacked and took control of this location during the D-Day landings.
