🚜 P1 Trip to the Farm 🚜🐑
Our P1 children had a fantastic trip to Greenmount Agricultural College as part of their topic on The Farm.
The children enjoyed a fun filled day taking part in a variety of exciting activities, including planting seeds, learning about how plants grow, exploring different types of seeds, and meeting some of the farm animals. One of the highlights of the day was watching a sheep get a haircut – a real-life sheep shearing demonstration! 🐑✂️
There were lots of smiles, curiosity, and hands on learning throughout the day, helping to bring our classroom topic to life in a memorable way.
A huge thank you to Greenmount Agricultural College for providing such a wonderful educational experience, and to Bank of Ireland for helping to make this fantastic opportunity possible.
Well done to all of our P1 children who represented the school so brilliantly and had so much fun while learning! 🌱🐄🐓

🌟 P5 & GLSC Visit to Belfast City Hall 🌟
Our P5 children and members of GLSC had a fantastic trip to Belfast City Hall , where they learned all about the wonderful city we live in and its rich history. 🏛️
During the tour, the children explored the beautiful building, discovered fascinating stories about Belfast's past, and admired the stunning architecture and artwork throughout City Hall. They enjoyed searching for historical features, learning about important people and events, and finding out how decisions are made that help shape our city.
The children had great fun taking part in interactive activities, asking lots of thoughtful questions, and sharing their knowledge with one another. They especially enjoyed exploring the grand corridors, visiting the council chamber, and spotting interesting landmarks around the building.
It was a wonderful opportunity to bring learning to life, and our pupils were excellent ambassadors for the school throughout the day. 😊

🌟 A Fantastic Day for Our P7 Pupils! 🌟
We were delighted that our Primary 7 class had the opportunity to take part in the Eastside Learning P7 Career Fair on Monday 8th June! 🎉
It was a fantastic and inspiring day for our pupils, giving them the chance to explore a variety of career pathways and learn more about future opportunities. We were very proud of how our pupils represented the school and hope they found the experience both fun and informative. 🙌Thank you to everyone who organised the event.

Congratulations to our pupil on receiving their First Holy Communion on Saturday. It was lovely to celebrate this special occasion with friends and family. Thank you to everyone who helped make this so special. We hope you had a wonderful day and made lots of happy memories. ✨⛪

We hope that all of our families are safe and well following the unrest last night.
We are aware of social media posts circulating regarding possible further protests at 1pm today in various locations. At this stage, we have not received any communication or guidance from the Education Authority regarding school closures or changes to the school day. Therefore, school will remain open as normal today, including all after-school clubs and activities.
However, we understand that some parents may wish to collect their child earlier, and you are welcome to do so if you feel this is best for your family.
Should the situation change, or if we are advised to close the school, we will communicate with parents immediately through email, Seesaw and our page.
If any of our families require support during this time, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to help in any way we can.

🪲🐞 P3’s W5 Bug Adventure! 🕷️🐜

P3 had an amazing visit to W5 on Friday as part of their World Around Us topic all about beasties and bugs!

The children took part in a fantastic workshop where they learned lots of interesting facts about insects and mini beasts. They had the opportunity to explore, discover and ask plenty of questions along the way.

After the workshop, everyone had great fun playing and learning throughout the interactive exhibits in W5. It was a wonderful day full of curiosity and hands-on learning! 🌟

We are very proud of how well the children represented our school throughout the trip. 👏😊

✨ Celebrating Creative Writing in P3 ✨✏️
P3 have been taking part in a fantastic writing workshop called Fighting Words, designed to support and inspire pupils in developing their creative writing skills. Throughout the sessions, the children have truly embraced the opportunity to let their imaginations soar!
From imaginative stories and vivid descriptions to exciting characters and unique ideas, it has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as young writers. The workshop encouraged them to take chances, experiment with language, and express themselves freely—resulting in some truly brilliant pieces of writing.
Their creativity, enthusiasm, and willingness to try new things have shone through every step of the way. We are so proud of all their hard work and the fantastic progress they have made.
