✨ P1 have been busy learning all about numbers! ✨🔢

Our P1 children have been having lots of fun exploring numbers through a variety of hands-on activities and games. From counting and recognising numerals to sorting, matching and building early maths skills, the children have been learning through play and discovery every day.

We are so proud of their enthusiasm and confidence as they begin their learning journey. Keep up the fantastic work, P1! 🌟👏

📐✨ P4 have been having lots of fun and learning with geoboards! Using elastic bands and their creativity, the children have been busy designing fantastic shape pictures while exploring different 2D shapes and their properties.

Through this hands-on activity, pupils have been developing their problem-solving skills, mathematical vocabulary and spatial awareness. There were plenty of smiles, teamwork and creative ideas as the children challenged themselves to create increasingly detailed designs.

Learning is always more exciting when it is interactive, and P4 certainly enjoyed bringing maths to life through play and exploration! Well done, P4! 🌟👏

🍞🧀 Lots of fun in GLSC this week as our young chefs got busy making delicious toasties! 😋

The children enjoyed learning valuable cooking skills while creating their tasty treats and exploring the importance of healthy eating. They carefully followed instructions, worked safely in the kitchen and took pride in preparing their own food.

The learning didn't stop there! The children also developed their literacy skills by writing their own recipes, recording ingredients and instructions for others to follow.

Well done to everyone for their fantastic effort and enthusiasm. We think the toasties looked absolutely delicious! 👏👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

🎉🎂 A Big Birthday Shout Out to our dear friends at McArthur Nursery School! 🎂🎉

This year, McArthur Nursery School is celebrating an incredible 90 years of nurturing, supporting and inspiring young children and their families within the East Belfast community.

At Harding Memorial Integrated Primary School, we are so fortunate to welcome many children from McArthur Nursery into our P1 classes each year. The wonderful start they receive at nursery helps to build confident, happy learners who arrive ready to embrace the next stage of their educational journey.

We value the strong links between our schools and are grateful for the dedication and care shown by the staff at McArthur Nursery over the past nine decades.

🎉 Happy Birthday to Nettlefield Primary and Euston Street Primary as they celebrate incredible milestones of 90 years and 100 years respectively! 🎂🎈

With Harding Memorial Integrated Primary School now 113 years old, our three schools have collectively served the wonderful Woodstock and Cregagh Road community for an amazing 303 years.

For generations, our schools have educated, nurtured and inspired thousands of children and families across East Belfast. Together, we have played a vital role in the life of our community and continue to do so today.

Here's to celebrating our shared history, honouring those who came before us, and looking forward to many more years of serving the children and families of East Belfast.

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome back all of our wonderful pupils and staff to Harding Memorial for the start of another exciting school year! 😊

Everyone has returned looking so smart in their uniforms, and we have been especially impressed by our fantastic new PE uniforms. It has been lovely to see our classrooms and corridors filled once again with smiling faces, excitement and enthusiasm for the year ahead.

A very special welcome goes to our new P1 pupils and their families as they begin their journey with us. We also extend a warm welcome to our new SC1 pupils and families, along with all of the new pupils and staff who have joined the Harding community this September.

Whether you are returning or joining us for the very first time, we are delighted to have you with us. We hope you already feel at home and part of the Harding family.

📢 Important School Dinner Update
Unfortunately, due to issues with the new EA computerised administration system, we are currently unable to accept school dinner bookings through SchoolMoney for next week. We are also unable to send emails at present, although we can still receive them.
To book school dinners for Tuesday 1st September to Friday 4th September, please email [email protected] by Monday 31st August.
In your email, please include:
✅ Your child's name
✅ Class name
✅ The days on which they require a school dinner and indicate if they receive free school meals
At present, there is no facility to make payments through the system. Once the EA system is fully operational, invoices will be issued to any families who need to pay for the meals they booked.
Please be assured that this issue is outside the school's control, and we are working within the limitations of the new EA system. We apologise again for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and understanding while these issues are resolved. A paper copy of the menu will be sent home with children today.

This is a fantastic opportunity to pick up good quality school uniform items at a low cost, helping families save money while ensuring uniforms can be reused and enjoyed by other pupils.
