Congratulations to the Tigers & Jaguars who shared the overall Inter House Sports Shield, following a great final day of the competition.
On behalf of their teams, the captains, Ella & Ben and Gabrielle & Jonas accepted the shield for 25/26 at our whole school assembly this morning.⭐🏆

Congratulations to the Leopards and their house captains, Lucy and Seth, who accepted the 2025-2026 Inter-House Cup on behalf of their team this morning at our whole school awards assembly. 🐆🏆

Congratulations to our boys and girls who competed at the final event of the Athletics competition at the Sportsplex in Bangor. We had 45 boys and girls taking part in school colours on another fantastic evening. Again we had lots of podium finishers and lots of DPS pupils snapped in the album taken by the photographer on the evening. ✔️ If children are aged over 16 and you’re unsure whether they will return to school or change schools, add on the application the child’s name and the name of the school your child waiting for results is most likely to attend

This morning we are in Lisburn at the Eco Schools Awards Ceremony, held at the fantastic Island Civic Centre.
We are absolutely delighted to have received the prestigious Green Flag Award for 2026. It is also a special privilege to be here as Mrs McGonigle receives the Northern Ireland Eco Teacher of the Year Award — a truly well-deserved honour.
This is wonderful recognition of her outstanding work in our school and her immense contribution to Eco Schools and environmental initiatives across DPS.

Dear Families,
Due to the planned road closures and in the interest of keeping everyone safe, we have made the decision to postpone tonight’s Summer Fair. It is very important that our school community remains safe this evening and that everyone can travel home without difficulty.
The Summer Fair will now be rescheduled for Tuesday 16th June. We very much hope you will be able to join us then.
I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Mrs O’Connor and our PTA for the enormous amount of preparation and planning that has gone into organising this event. We are incredibly grateful for their hard work and dedication. We also hope that all of our bookings and vendors will be able to join us on the new date.

Sixteen girls took part yesterday in a football tournament run by Moneyrea Primary School. They played 4 aside futsal indoors due to the weather. All the girls played great football and worked together with their team. Well done everyone.

Congratulations to the red team who won the competition, winning all 7 games without conceding a goal.
