Summer learning
30 by 30 walk - Grassland habitat

I joined a group of people to learn about how grassland can support biodiversity in Belfast city. We took a short walk up to a habitat in Newhill, west Belfast. It is truly amazing to see what's on our doorstep! I learned about the importance of suitable grazing, how housing developments are encroaching on local spaces for wildlife and we also touched on what is currently growing there.
With thanks to @ for arranging this informative walk

Summer Learning
As part of a flax project, I had the opportunity to visit a flax farm. it was very interesting to learn about the growing of flax and part of Ireland's history linking to this. The old machinery was particularly fascinating. Imagine working in a room with several of those on the go!
With thanks to Grow, ! for arranging the trip.
