Thank you Harry Moffat from Oakbank Game and Conservation for this weeks meeting. We learnt about cover crops, environmental schemes and woodland management, and how these can not only fit into, but enhance an existing farm business’ profitability and environmental assets! 🌳 🌱 🌾

On Saturday, our ladies’ team really tore up the ground, coming out on top and qualifying for Nationals!

This is an unbelievable achievement for them. Many months of training and dedication have got them here, and it really shows.

The support from the crowd really helped, so thank you to everyone who came out and showed their support.

See you at Nationals, ladies! ⚪️🔴

Such an educational meeting last night hearing from 2 successful business owners. A huge thank you to Erin and Michael for telling our members how it is to run a business, what to look out for, what works for there different businesses.

Michael told us all about his farming business and how farming is changing each year. And Erin told us all about how she ended up starting her physiotherapy business and how much it has grown in such a short space of time.
One similar thing for both Erin and Michael was that being in young farmers has helped both of them.

The bull ride was definitely the highlight of the evening. People fell of in all directions. Well done to both Annie and Charlotte for being the longest on with 1 second between them!! And well done to everyone who gave it a go! Safe to say we all had fun.
