Day 3 of Men's Health Week! 🎉🎊

👉Today, we would like to share with you our FREE online NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Men’s Mental Health Awareness.

The number of men who have suicidal thoughts has doubled since 2009, highlighting the urgent need for more support in men’s mental health. Although men are now more likely to see a therapist if they’re feeling worried or low, there’s still a long way to go. This online course, Awareness of Men’s Mental Health Problems, is a crucial step in addressing this issue. It comprehensively covers a wide range of different mental health problems that can affect men, including depression, stress, anxiety and PTSD. You will learn about the signs, symptoms and triggers of poor mental health, as well as the differences in how some mental health conditions present themselves in men and women.

To give you a little insight into how important it is, here are some statistics (from Men’s Health Forum):

- Men are less likely to access psychological therapies than women. Only 36% of referrals to IAPT (Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies) are men.
- Men are nearly three times more likely than women to become alcohol dependent (8.7% of men are alcohol dependent compared to 3.3% of women
- 12.5% of men in the UK are suffering from one of the common mental health disorders
