The children were very excited to discover an egg and footprints in our garden area. They spent time looking at the egg and predicting what might be inside! Lots of children guessed a dinosaur! The children have enjoyed learning about Mary Anning and her important discoveries of fossils. They explored how fossils are formed and created their very own fossils using salt dough. They have also been searching for and uncovering hidden fossils in the sand. A brilliant start to our new topic! Well done! Take a look at our website for more photos.

Friendly competition brings out the best in us! During Enrichment, the children in Clownfish showed incredible teamwork when they were challenged to see who could create the longest paper chain. Even though they were competing against each other, they supported, cheered, and helped one another every step of the way. Well done, Clownfish!

Octopus Class had a FANTASTIC trip to the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge. The children really enjoyed spending time in the Portrait Gallery and taking in all of the pieces of art and then heading to the Ancient Egyptian galleries where they saw artefacts that were 3000 years old. Plus, they saw a really mummy! Please take a look at our website for more photos.

Orcas loved their computing lesson this week! They learned how to program external micro-bits using their coding knowledge from their previous computing unit. The children had lots of fun programming the micro-bit to become a step counter, display their name in LED lights and create musical tunes and patterns. Great work Orcas!

Seashell's had a fab day at Marston Vale Forest Centre. Although it was a rather damp day it did not dampen Seashell's spirits. We had a great time pond dipping and then used binoculars to scan for birds in the bird hide. We even learnt about Sand Martins and how Marston have created their very own Sand Martins nesting wall. After lunch, Seashells played a forest game where they had to 'get to know a tree' whilst blindfolded and finished with a leaf hunt. Seashells were impeccably behaved and were keen to learn throughout the day. Well done Seashells! Please look at our website for more photos.

Stingrays had a wonderful time when they visited the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge. Mrs Parmenter was super proud of the children's sensible behaviour and their incredible historical knowledge ... they even wowed the museum guides! What a fun day out. Take a look at our website for more photos.
