I can’t believe just how inspirational Claire Cook’s book has been. Suddenly I feel like the channels for creativity have opened up & I’ve received a boost of energy to just do stuff that’s fun & also productive.

Positive re-parenting affirmations today:

💖 I am glad I was born
❤️ I am a good person

Just when you think you’re in control something always catches you off guard & reminds you that ‘you’re only human’ -some thing has to give.

I am going through a period of recovery from a range of things such as childhood trauma, illness & other stress. I feel like I’m slipping down a greasy slope & want to put the brakes on. I’ve decided to take some time out to reflect & one way that is helping is by reading more.
I would definitely recommend this book by Claire Cook & at the same time get yourself a note pad too.
Day one starts for me today & I know I won’t look back!

For those of you who know me, I am a strong advocate of using Forever Aloe Vera products.
For the past 2 -3 weeks I have been taking the Aloe drinking gel & the new Marine Collagen. I noticed how in the last 12 months my nails have become brittle & my hair although plentiful has started thinning/receding at the front.

I will show the before & after pictures when I reach the first month milestone. So far I can already see a difference with my nails. They are growing stronger & whiter again & my skin is so much better too.

A mantra to take with you today.

Again - here I am Day 1 vs Day 9
Apologies for giving anyone nightmares but I think it is important to be real.

Please let excuse the hair & no makeup but helps to show the improvement of my skin & face shape I think.
Day 1 & Day 9

23/01/2022

Day 9 of the C9 rebalancing & nutrition plan. I feel great & know that a good break from caffeine, alcohol & sugar has done me the world of good. I didn’t crave any of them but will be keeping a check on water/alcohol & caffeine intake from now on.
I was already following the Slimming World maintenance plan & now I am back to where I should be weight/health wise, I won’t be reaching for the biscuits/crisps without giving them a second thought. I’m not saying I won’t be having any of the things that increase weight but ‘moderation’ & ‘consideration’ for the consequences are the key.

Results are as follows:
1. Skin is clearer
2. Brain fog lifted
3. Mood lifted
4. More energy
5. Sleeping better
6. Bags/dark circles under eyes gone
7. 1 in/2.5cms off hips
8. “ “ off waist
9. “ “ off each thigh
10. 6.5 lbs weight lost

Photo comparisons to follow but the figures speak for themselves. What the photos don’t show is how I feel - I feel absolutely brilliant & my enthusiasm for regular exercise has returned - regardless of the weather!

Whatever you are doing right now to get some sense of balance for your nutrition or to clear that brain fog, this is really interesting!

The human body comprises around 60% water.

It’s commonly recommended that you drink 8 x 237ml glasses of water per day (the 8×8 rule).

Although there’s little science behind this specific rule, staying hydrated is important.

Here are 7 evidence-based health benefits of drinking plenty of water:
1. Helps maximize physical performance
2. Significantly affects energy levels and brain function
3. May help prevent and treat headaches
4. May help relieve constipation
5. May help treat kidney stones
6. Helps prevent hangovers
7. Can aid weight loss

Even mild dehydration can affect you mentally and physically.

Make sure that you get enough water each day, whether your personal goal is 1 - 2L or a different amount. It’s one of the best things you can do for your overall health.

Day 6 - I weighed in for the first time since I started.
I am losing 1lb a day so if this continues to a 8-9lb loss I will be back to my healthy weight again after over indulging between Oct & Dec.
The C9 plan is more than weight loss - it has helped to ween me off high levels of caffeine & sugar each day, reminded me to drink more water & just helped me to get my energy back.
Happy Thursday everyone - I’m feeling great!

Day 5 - almost there. Feel such a difference!
Sleeping well
Feel more energetic
Skin is clearer (I have got BB cream on & makeup but even so, I can see a real difference)
Brain fog has gone
Jeans fit better
Will post final results on Sunday!
