The COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS IS ON!! 🤩🎅

We have been feeling super festive at Youth Inspired and there are lot's of fun festivities taking place...🎄

Last Friday we had a ginger-bread people competition. Clients paired up and worked together to create their own versions of ginger-bread boys and girls. Yummy! 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

This week the students on our Education Program enjoyed a fabulous Christmas lunch at the Pilgrims Rest and coming up, our fabulous clients will be having a Christmas "bring and share", enterprise sale, with a tombola, karoke and a disco!🕺🍗🍨

💚We are starting to feel very festive at Youth Inspired, and what better way to start "bringing the cheer" than to CELEBRATE our STAR OF THE MONTH ...

🥰We believe in always trying to inspire one another to be our best, and believe we can grow and develop in any way we want.
So without further ado... congratulations EWAN! 👏

This month Ewan has been showing his true colours as a helpful and well-motivated new student. He has been able to demonstrate that he has settled extremely well into his new routines, and he attempts every task with his best efforts.
He is friendly and considerate to both staff and students every day. 💁‍♂️👌

Ewan has been particularly successful in welcoming visitors this month, and has talked confidently with them, explaining about Youth Inspired. We have been really impressed with his confidence and communication skills! 🗣💯

Is it coming home? 🦁🦁🦁

At Youth Inspired, we have had a World Cup Football draw and all students have picked a team out of the hat! The student with the winning team will receive a prize. 🌎🎁⚽️🏆

We will be staying tuned with all the football matches over the coming weeks and cheering on our teams (and England of course). We are all looking forward to this as we have a lot of keen football fans! 😄

⭐️✨SHOUT OUT TIME ✨⭐️

🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️Last week, our wonderful Inspired clients took part in a sponsored walk for Children in Need. 💛🐻

Together they raised a FANTASTIC £300.91!! 👏👏🙀

We are so proud of them! What a brilliant achievement to raise money (and awareness) of such a great cause.

Youth Inspired clients have returned after the half-term break, and our Aspire to Achieve students have now started their qualifications. 😁🤝

Workshops will continue to run on a Thursday, where we really enjoy learning new skills and sharing new experiences together.

Rhianne has created some beautiful works recently, including a wonderful painted tribute to the Queen, and a drawing inspired by french folk art. 👩‍🎨

Rhianne has also shown great growth as an individual, by interacting and conversing more with other peers; and is always a great addition to the class. 🥰

👫The Youth Inspired team and clients enjoyed a trip into town, browsing around the shops. There were lots of creepy Halloween decorations around, making the Harper Centre super spooky!👻

Our tradition of Chippy Tuesday was also back this week 🍟, we all enjoyed our chips from Denmark Street.

We finished the day with a Halloween movie, with some of us were hiding at the scary bits. 👀🙈

We started our ‘Star of the Month’ feature in March of last term. The idea was to champion individuals achievements and share their amazing progress with friends and family on social media. 💛💚

September's ⭐️STAR OF THE MONTH ⭐️ is LORCAN, from our Aspire to Achieve Programme.

Lorcan has returned back to college with a really positive and enthusiastic attitude to his learning. Together with this, Lorcan has been very welcoming and sociable with all of the students at Youth Inspired; inspiring us all. Well done Lorcs! 👏💚💛

✨At Youth Inspired we have combined our two previous programmes – Improving Choices and Pathways, to create our new course: Aspire to Achieve.

Aspire to Achieve represents a bespoke provision for young people between the ages of 16-25 and offers an alternative to mainstream college. 🧑‍💻
We are all different and learn in different ways. 💚💛

At Youth Inspired we take a holistic approach towards learning, actively monitoring the learners achievements and journey towards their goals.

The Aspire to Achieve course is carefully structured to meet the needs of our learners with moderate learning difficulties, and also those with severe learning difficulties. Each learner is assessed to determine their personal starting point, with a programme then designed to meet individual needs and goals.

✨Enterprise Inspired Update

🌳Our super-talented clients previously created “Trees of Hope” artwork; which helped raise money for Youth Inspired. They were then asked to do commissions of more of the Trees!

Excellent progress has been made with these orders! We are really proud of our clients and of this work. 💛💚

As you may be able to tell from the photos, we are working on a set of 4 trees. One for each season; spring, summer, autumn and winter. 🌸🌞🍂❄️

✨Do you remember our AMAZING CHARITY GOLF DAY with SS Philip and James Golf Society where we raised money for Youth Inspired, which we planned to use for great causes? 💚

🥰Youth Inspired did lots of different things on the day, from selling raffle tickets, serving refreshments, being witnesses on the 16th hole for the hole-in-one competition and also selling their Enterprise items.

🌳Our 'Trees of Hope' sold for an incredible £250, and we have now been asked to do commissions of more of the Trees! ☺️

👩‍🍳👨‍🍳Well, we are now enjoying the efforts of that wonderful day. Below you will see our KITCHEN and CAFE that have undergone a refurb with the money raised. They are now both great spaces for our clients for our clients to learn, grow and thrive. 👇

‼️Active Inspired Update

💛💚Our amazing Active Inspired team and clients have been super busy this week. We have been out in the fresh air planting an array of herbs. Our clients really enjoyed trying to identify the different herbs through their scent.

👃It’s much harder than you think, but a wonderful experience for the senses!

👩‍🍳👨‍🍳Once grown, we will use the herbs we have grown in our cooking sessions.

First week back at Youth Inspired and it's been busy.

Active Inspired have been busy getting the allotment ready for next year. We dug the plot over and harvested the remaining vegetables including a large bag of carrots; which was used in our carrot cake recipe! 🥕

Our Enterprise group have also been working really hard painting and redecorating the art room. 🎨 They have all been rewarded with a slice of our homemade carrot cake. 🍰😋

This term we are focusing on making our popular framed Bead Tree Artwork and creating a range of Christmas crafts for the Christmas Catalogue next term. 🎄

Day 4 and 5 on our Summer Inspired program…☀️

Day 4 saw the students compete in the “egg drop challenge” 😅 Well done to everyone who took part, we cracked a lot of smiles (thankfully not eggs)! 💪🥚

Friday was then all about Art in the Park! We ventured down to the embankment to get creative and make beautiful artworks, in the shade! 👩‍🎨🧑‍🎨

Welcome to our first day of Summer Inspired! 😎🌻

As you can see, we are all super happy to be here and enjoying the beautiful weather, too! 🌞

We’ve been getting creative, creating our own Mascots! 🐲🐿🐾

Clients and staff broke up into four teams and each team were challenged to make a Mascot and think of a team name. They were then judged and awarded points. 👌🏼🤝

Well done to everyone for their brilliant ideas and designs! 💛💚

Throughout the two weeks of Summer Inspired there will be other challenges where points can be earner. At the end there will be an overall winning team crowned.⏳🥇
