🌞💚 SUMMER FUN 🌞💚

Our wonderful clients have completed their first week of the Holiday Inspired programme, hosted by Youth Inspired!🫶

We absolutely love this programme! It's stacked full of fun activities, and we always create amazing memories! 😃

DAY1️⃣- We enjoyed lots of photography, getting our craft on (making hama bead and bead key rings), followed by Tai Chi!

Day2️⃣- Getting our exercise on with tennis at Russell Park 🎾

Day3️⃣- A visit to The Higgins Bedford museum and Basement at Bunyan, for the Bedford Ten Open Exhibition; celebrating 10 years of the Basement at Bunyan

Day4️⃣- Kite flying with Lionel 🪁

Day5️⃣- What better way to end the week with a visit around town and then a trip Gallone’s ice cream parlour 😁🍨

We’re looking for an Programme Lead – Inspired to join our growing team and help shape our exciting provision. 💚💛

This is far more than a teaching role.

It’s an opportunity to lead a creative, meaningful programme that changes lives. 🙌
You’ll help deliver and develop a diverse range of activities, including:

✔️ Enterprise and employability
✔️ The Loft Enterprise Shop
✔️ Arts, crafts and creative projects
✔️ Health and wellbeing
✔️ Community engagement
✔️ Events, exhibitions and enterprise initiatives

No two days will be the same.

From supporting clients to create products for sale in The Loft, to organising community events, delivering wellbeing sessions, planning creative workshops and helping young people and adults with SEND develop valuable employability and independence skills.

As part of the role, you’ll also lead The Loft. Our enterprise shop, where clients gain real-life experience in retail, customer service, creativity and teamwork.

✨Trust the process✨

Sometimes we can feel like we aren't making progress. It doesn't seem visible to others to even ourselves. We struggle to see the improvements in our daily lives or how we are moving closer to our goals. This can be frustrating and leave us a bit deflated...😕

It's important to remember that progress is very often not linear. It's ok to have bad days, set backs, or take a step back. It's also important to remember that not all process is tangible, and it come sin many forms. 🥰

We might be working on improving our mental health, confidence, our emotional well-being, or building stronger relationships or learning new skills. This isn't always obvious to others, but it is super important and valuable. 🫶

Trust yourself. Trust the process and the hard work you are putting in. Keep going and take time along the way to recognise the small wins and give yourself grace. 💚💛

GUESS WHO 👩‍🦰👨❓

Over the last few terms our wonderful and creative Art Inspired clients have been making a Youth Inspired version of the board game, Guess Who. 😁

The Art Inspired group have been drawing portraits of all staff and clients at Youth Inspired. Finally finishing this project just before the end of term. 🎨✍️

We were delighted to finish this project, especially as our beloved Art Tutor, Sofia, will be leaving us at the end of term. We thank her for working on this game with us, and for everything she has helped us with over the last 5 years. You will be missed. 💚💛

🎨✨ We are incredibly proud of our Art & Enterprise clients, who spent weeks working hard to create a beautiful collection of artwork for our gallery exhibition at the Basement at Bunyan.

It was such a special opportunity for our clients to showcase their creativity, with many choosing to put their artwork up for sale and share their achievements with friends, family and the wider community.

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part, including our Creative and Aspire 2 Achieve groups. Your passion, dedication and creativity were on display for all to see, and we couldn't be prouder of everything you've achieved. 👏

Thank you to everyone who came along to support our clients and help make the exhibition such a wonderful success. Here's to many more opportunities to celebrate the incredible talent within our Youth Inspired community! 💛💚

⭐ Inspired Stars of the Month! ⭐

This month is a little different... we couldn't choose just one! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Rory & Jason, our Inspired Stars of the Month! 👏

Both have made a positive impression throughout the month and are thoroughly deserving. We're incredibly proud of the progress they've made, and it's fantastic to celebrate everything they've achieved.

Well done, Rory and Jason! We hope you're both proud of this achievement! 🌟

As we finish our final sessions today, we'd also like to wish all of our young people, families and supporters a wonderful summer break. We'll be closed for the next two weeks before returning with our exciting Summer Programme, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back soon!
