🍫 Chocolate & Courgette Cupcakes 🧁

Summary of this week’s classes…

Do I have to add the courgette?”
Me: “I promise you won’t see or taste it”
“I don’t believe you”
“Ooh it’s yummy, I can’t taste the courgette”

🧁 Some children were actually delighted they were enjoying ‘healthier cupcakes’ and were enthusiastic to see if their families could guess the hidden ingredient.

🍫 Some with strong food aversions had the option to taste these before introducing they contain courgette…they all enjoyed them and went on to make them (some with a little less courgette than the recipe…fair enough!) The ultimate proof that that the courgette is undetectable! But it definitely makes a moist and delicious cupcake

Officially declared weather for ice cream floats! ☀️🍦🍹

What’s your favourite? We had cherry and cream flavour in lemonade and my youngest chose chocolate ice cream in lemonade.

My favourite is vanilla in Irn Bru or cream soda.

🍕Pizza 🍕Pie! 🍕

What do you get when you cross short crust pastry with pizza toppings ❓❓❓

Pizza Pie! 🍕🥧

We made shortcrust pastry, rolled and cut out circles, then and diced, grated and measured out pizza toppings to fill our pie.

Best of both comfort foods combined!

For dessert….this adapts beautifully to. a sweet version….chocolate spread & orange pieces, banana & Biscoff, chopped apple with cinammon & sultanas.
