Due to continued snow and/or ice in the local area overnight we are delaying opening today until 10.45am with school starting as normal for pupils at 11am.

We apologise for any inconvenience but are very conscious of the condition of our local rural roads as staff and pupils journey to school.

This afternoon we were very lucky to be joined virtually by Kirsten from the Cats protection education team. It was great to hear all about their work as we continue to support them as our designated charity for this academic year

Weather Update – Thursday 9th January 2025
As you know, we saw some snowy weather yesterday afternoon in across Devon and Cornwall. Although the snow stopped during the evening, freezing temperatures overnight have left travel conditions challenging this morning and a weather warning for ice is still in place, particularly on the ungritted country roads and lanes.
Based on this we have decided to delay the opening of the Ruby Schools today to allow everyone to travel to school safely. Highampton will open from 10.30am, with lessons starting at 11.00am.
