Predicted a 6. Opened a 4 this morning.
If that's your house today, two things.
First, nothing needs deciding tonight. If a sixth-form or college place depends on today's grades, one phone call tomorrow morning gets you the facts. Everything else can wait until next week.
Second, one set of results doesn't say what your child can't do. It says something got in the way. Sometimes it's a gap nobody spotted. Sometimes it's revision that started too late. Sometimes they knew it and couldn't get it out under pressure. Those are three different problems with three different fixes, and the grade alone doesn't tell you which one you have.
That's what we look for. Not more work. The actual barrier.
