🎃🍬 *FIZZLE IS HUNGRY! FEED THE SWEET MONSTER!*

Baslow Spooky Trail is back! 👻
Saturday 31st October | From 4.30pm

We’re collecting sweets for our wonderful village trail houses, and there are two easy ways to help!

🍬 Feed Fizzle! Bring a bag of wrapped sweets to the playground. Our PTFA Ambassadors will be collecting from Thursday for a week, or drop them at the school office.

Donate a few pounds and we’ll buy sweets in bulk for the houses:

Every little bit helps make Halloween magical for the children. Thank you! 🎃🧡

📱 Kids, smartphones & social media… are any of us keeping up?

Already got one? Asking for one? Not there yet? This talk is for all parents.

Baslow PTFA has helped fund this FREE expert-led evening to help us better understand the digital world our children are growing up in - without judgement or telling anyone how to parent.

📅 15 October | 7.30pm
📍 Medway Centre, Bakewell

🎟️ Free, but booking essential:

👗 Got a wardrobe full of clothes… and still nothing to wear?

We’ve all got those things we liked once, bought with good intentions, or simply don’t reach for anymore.

Instead of leaving them hanging there, bring them along to our Swish! Clothes Swap and see if you can swap them for something you’ll actually love wearing.

Your old favourite could be someone else’s new favourite. 💚

Wednesday 21st October | 7–9pm | Baslow St Anne’s School Hall

WE HAVE A WINNER!

A huge congratulations to Gracie, Year 6, whose brilliant design has been chosen as our Baslow PTFA logo for 2026/27! 🏆

We love what Gracie has captured - teamwork, kindness, creativity, friendship and being helpful, with different hands coming together around the PTFA. It feels like a wonderful representation of what our PTFA is all about: people coming together for our children.

Gracie received a £20 prize today, and her design will now represent Baslow PTFA throughout the year.

And a BIG thank you to every child who entered. We had so many thoughtful, colourful and completely individual interpretations of what the PTFA means to you. Every entrant will receive a participation certificate to celebrate their contribution.

Well done Gracie - and well done everyone!

LOOK WHAT YOUR FUNDRAISING HAS HELPED CREATE ❤️

The PTFA has invested £3,300 into the Class 5 classroom transformation, helping create a calmer, more flexible and welcoming space for children to learn and thrive.

A huge thank you to Mrs Christie and Mrs Roberts for initiating the project, and to all our teachers and staff who spend countless hours preparing classrooms behind the scenes.

The children are already loving the new space, and Phase 2 - new tables and chairs - is coming soon.

This is your fundraising in action. ❤️

🎨 OUR PTFA LOGO IS DESIGNED BY THE CHILDREN ❤️

Every year, we hand our PTFA logo over to the children of Baslow St Anne’s.

Why? Because the PTFA is all about them.

From Colour Runs and discos to classroom improvements, equipment, music, technology and special experiences, so much is made possible by parents, grandparents, teachers, local businesses and our wider community.

We want the children to understand that - but also to feel part of it.

So we ask them to show us, through art, what their PTFA means to them.

👆 These are some of last year’s brilliant entries - and our winning designer was in Year 1!

This year’s designs will all be in by 14th September, and we can’t wait to see what they create.

One school. Lots of ideas. One logo created by them. ❤️

Throw back to our summer festival just before school was out, in July!

The PTFA always throws a good end of year party, but this one was extra special. We mixed things up and took the party outside turning it in to a full on festival!

It was the best send of for our year 6s and every year group absolutely loved it. Until next time 💕

Come along for the first meeting and start to formulate some fun plans with us for this academic year! We love all new ideas! 🤩
