SUMMER READING CHALLENGE 2022
Over the summer holidays children can sign up for the summer reading challenge, its a great way to share stories and encourage reading throughout the summer holidays when children's reading skills can sometimes dip. You can sign up at your local library or online from Saturday 16th July and read or listen to 6 books to earn a certificate and medal. You can read story books, fact books, ebooks, audio books, graphic novels or comics. Once you have read or listened to your first few books, pop into your library to get your collector card and first stickers. Once you have done all 6 you will get your medal and certificate which you can bring into school in September to show your teacher.

SORA - ebooks and audiobooks
We now have access to SORA where pupils can access eBooks and audiobooks. Pupils can download the SORA app on to their devices at home from their app store and access all our ebooks and audiobooks.
Select Hampshire school library service then Four Lanes Junior School from the drop down menu.
Login for pupils is their first name.surname and password is Password1!
For example: LOGIN - enid.blyton PASSWORD - Password1!

Dear Parents,

Thank you to all of the wonderful Four Lanes families for your generous donations.

Happy School Bags weighed in at 835kg, raising us £250.50. The dress down door donations raised at the Infants £110.80 and £129.12 at the Juniors.

We will create hampers from your coloured donations to win before the end of term.

Sports Day was a great success!

We will be holding our annual Sports Day tomorrow and we welcome parents to join us to watch their children participate in this exciting event.
The event, which will start at 9.30am, will conclude with whole school relays followed by the presentations.
At each event, there will be an allocated seating area for parents. You will be able to follow your child as they participate in an event at each station. You will be able to take your child home once the presentations are finished which is expected to be at 3.20pm.

House Day was a great success! We were so incredibly proud to see how well the pupils worked together in mixed year group teams. The Year 6s were excellent role models to the younger years and Years 3 - 5 did a brilliant job of teaching a skill to their team mates.

Our activities were based around the 5 Steps to Wellbeing: Connect, Give, Take Notice, Learn and Be Active. A particular well done to Lancaster for winning the House Cup and Austen for winning the Active Team Award!

We hope the pupils enjoyed their day, learned a lot about teamwork and hopefully gained some new friends from different year groups.

We hope you all have a fantastic Easter holiday!
