The children at Hatch Warren, have shown great excitement while taking part in a variety of Easter craft activities in preparation for next week. They have been independently exploring different ways to create decorations for the Easter Egg Hunt. The children also enjoyed making Easter cards to take home, showing pride in their work and excitement to share their creations with their families. Throughout the activity, they explored different materials and techniques, developing their fine motor skills and expressing their ideas independently.

Caroline provided a selection of junk modelling materials such as cardboard boxes, tubes, bottle tops, and paper. The children showed curiosity and excitement as they explored the resources. They used their imaginations to design and create their own models, including vehicles, robots, and houses.

At Kempshott Under-5s this week, we were happy to welcome some of our mums who joined us throughout the week to spend special time with their little ones. Together they enjoyed making beautiful flower pictures, sharing stories and sitting down for a chat while enjoying some yummy cakes at snack time 🍰

Hatch Warren Under 5’s, we were delighted to welcome some very special ladies in our preschoolers’ lives 🌸

Children enjoyed potting flowers together and sharing a sweet treat at snack time — it was wonderful to see so many mums, nans and carers joining us and making the morning so memorable 💐

Today at Hatch Warren, we had Alex come in to do football sessions with the children in Caterpillars and Butterfly’s.

The children took part in a warm up sessions for Head, Knees and Toes Freeze. They then followed instructions to navigate the garden by jumping and hopping before taking a shot at goal.

The children really enjoyed these sessions, it was a great physical activity. The children were cheering each other on and celebrating each other’s goals.

This term, the children at Kempshott Under Fives have been focusing on physical activity. Soft play equipment and a tunnel were introduced indoors to support the development of physical strength and confidence. As the week progressed, the children showed increased confidence and a desire to challenge themselves further.

With adult support and encouragement, the children began climbing carefully over chairs and jumping safely into a bean bag, demonstrating good low-level risk taking. They listened well to guidance and showed awareness of their own abilities.

By the end of the week, the children extended this activity through imaginative play. They used the chairs and tunnels to create their own camps, with tunnels leading to and away from the structures. This showed strong imaginative skills, creativity, cooperation, and problem-solving, while continuing to develop physical coordination and confidence.

The children were highly engaged throughout the activity and clearly enjoyed combining physical play with imaginative exploration.
